Wat een heerlijke plek. Super gastvrij en heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Antje en haar staff zijn top. Niets is te gek. De kamer heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Bed sliep super. De inrichting van de kamer ook Super! Uitzicht….. 100% Tot de volgende keer!

Fantastic little place with a cozy a**osphere, direct beach view and very friendly hosts. Antje makes you feel like home. The breakfast is superb and she also makes some cold cuts for dinner on demand that are very tasty. It was our first trip to South Africa and e started there. We loved the place and will likely come back.

When I arrived at Whalesong after a long journey I walked in, landed on the balcony, was handed a pair of binoculars and saw my first ever Whale. This lodge is in an exceptional location and had all the finishing touches you could ever wish for; chocolates by your bedside, coffee is presented when you telepathically communicate you want some, the best platform for viewing whales in this area (literally). At Whalesong you also get a true taste of the ethos of South Africa with respect to community. The staff are like a family and the host is always around to help with everything/to generally chat about life. The decor is top notch and the soap/hand lotion is to die for. We stayed in a double room which had its own balcony, I can imagine the suite would be fabulous for a special occasion.

Lovely place. I had such a lovely break away weekend. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Whalesong exceeded my expectations. Comfortable, clean, modern and great views. Wonderful friendly hosts. Amazing breakfast. Thank you.

We stayed in this beautiful lodge just for one night during our whistle-stop family tour of SA. It is located on the edge of the bay with incredible views. The lounge and breakfast area overlook the bay – a fireplace divides the space, making it very cosy. A help-yourself-loyalty-bar was a nice feature which added a home-from-home vibe. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. We had the Honeymoon suite which had great uninterrupted views and our kids had a standard room, which was equally beautiful and well thought out. The hosts, Antje and Gary, were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to share lots of local knowledge with us. There was a wonderful selection for breakfast – including homemade jams and granola, which was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very much at home here.

A very nice lodge, perfectly located with views of the bay and the whales. Antje and her entire team as perfect hosts, all extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast buffet, beautiful and large rooms with a wonderful view terrace and welcoming living room. We felt so comfortable - ideal start for our South Africa vacation. We will definitely come back again sometime.

I had the chance and did book the suite - it was worth every penny. Whales were in great numbers in the bay and I could watch them without even leaving the bed. But of course I did leave it. One could watch them from the shower as well as the bath tube as well as from the attached little balcony - actually from everywhere in and outside the house. It's located directly at the sea. The lodge itself is very well equipped and has a beautiful host who was helpful in every aspect - booking restaurants, sea excursions etc. I shall return!

I cannot give this wonderful place more compliments. It is a rarely to find such an amazing combination of that attention to detail, hospitality, cleanliness and a fantastic breakfast. The views are breathtaking and perfectly situated close to many activities. We loved our stay, thank you!
