Palazzo Flora

I am currently staying at the Palazzo Flora, and I simply do not want to leave. As a small hotel and restaurant owner myself, I know how disheartening it can be to read reviews where everything is exemplary, yet the rating is only 4/5. It’s also frustrating when reviewers are rude due to heat, frustration, or a lack of understanding of the local language. I found it refreshing to travel to a country that encourages me to learn the language. The Italians are incredibly friendly and help with the language, which is a wonderful change. Now, onto my stay. Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a massive black door with no hotel name which if I had read the check-in instructions properly, I would have known this. Once the door opens, you’re welcomed into the most amazing oasis in the middle of Gallipoli. As a solo female traveller on my first solo trip, I felt incredibly grateful to have found this hotel. The decor is absolutely perfect and exactly my style. The photos and artwork are breathtaking—I haven’t encountered such a captivating style of art in a long time. I need to find out who selected all this artwork and where I can get some! The room was stunning, offering 5-star amenities at a low price. From the mini bar to the amazing robes and toiletries, everything was top-notch. The pool area is absolutely stunning and the hotel is so peaceful. I will most definitely be coming back here. On my second day, I opted for the 15 euro breakfast, which is incredibly affordable. I had two coffees, freshly squeezed orange juice, a ham and cheese omelette, Caprese salad, and a fruit salad. I am not usually a breakfast person, but this was amazing. Working in cybersecurity, I decided to work from the hotel for two days and had no issues with the high-speed WiFi. I even worked by the pool where there were convenient power outlets—everything was perfect. Thank you to everyone for the amazing stay, including the reception staff, the wonderful beautiful housekeepers, and the waiting staff at the sister hotel where breakfast is served. Top Tip: If something is not to your standard, please give feedback kindly to the staff instead of posting it online. As someone with two hospitality businesses, I know how gut-wrenching it is to first hear about an issue through a negative review - being 5 star doesn't mean everything has to be perfect it is how the staff deal with any issues or feedback and this team are perfect. Photos don’t do justice to this hotel—seeing it in person is a must! Il vostro hotel è magnifico e il personale è estremamente cortese e disponibile. Grazie per un soggiorno indimenticabile!

Palazzo Flora is truly a dream hotel in a great spot in Gallipoli. We were very much charmed by the design and the staff. The room was spectacular. The pool was lovely. It's a stunning hotel. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Everything you need is walking distance. Parking is in the nearby port ( a block and a 1/2 away) and, if you register your car with them, you can park in any of the spots with white lines around them for free! We loved the rooftop bar at their sister hotel, Palazzo Presta. The beach is steps away, as well as the central shopping area and plenty of bars perched above the water. Our little travel dog, @tino-onthescene_o gave it 2 paws up! 🐾

From an interior and architectural point of view, this place is impeccable. With an eclectic interior, filled by beautiful objects and frames. A massive attention to details. Extremely clean and elegant. Truly impressive, however, I would’ve hoped the receptionist was adequate to the same level. The parking instruction was very confusing, we had too many luggage and it was around 10/15 minutes of an unpleasant walk from the parking area to the hotel under the sun. At check out our cards kept getting rejected as the card machine wasn’t responding due to poor wifi, etc.. we ended up paying cash but the receptionist had no change, no cashier and made it very difficult for us. Breakfast was €20 for two but was charged €30 at check out with no explanation. I found the receptionist untrained and unprofessional. What a shame as the rest of the staff were wonderful and helpful.

Fantastic boutique hotel, right in the city centre and near the harbour car park, near great restaurants help staff, and a small pool to cool off at the end of the day lovely decor could not fault anything about the stay

We’ve just checked out of the incredible Palazzo Flora. Wow what a find. Hidden behind a large heavy black door is something really special. Our family suite for 4 people was a duplex suite with veranda straight out onto a little balcony overlooking the gorgeous pool area. The room was amazing. The beds, the bathrobes, the palazzo presta guest box, the bed linen, the decor. Everything was just so perfect. Darla was so lovely in reception & the staff for breakfast in the other hotel palazzo presta were all so helpful & friendly. Breakfast was also good. Omelettes were particularly lovely. Our top dinner was il bastione on the sea front. My only constructive criticism would be parking. We arrived quite late at 7.30pm & My poor husband circled the city for over an hour. Similar to nardo & matera. You are not able to drive in the historic centres. You can drop bags (we did that before) but it’s near impossible to drive out. So a suggestion would be park & walk with bags & hopefully the city will allow the hotel to shuttle guests. But we loved it so much. It’s like a 5 star boutique hotel. To have a private pool in the centre of historic Gallipoli was such a treat. This was a 10/10 find - our family loved it. Thank you to everyone for making it so special.

We booked Palazzo Presto but were placed in a suite in their new hotel Flora, located 100m along the street. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, very arty style and includes a pool which was not only appreciated but amazing for Southern Italy. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, from the moment Vittorio picked us up from the car park to the restaurant staff. We used all the facilities and really enjoyed them. The cocktails at the terrace bar were delicious and our dinner in the restaurant amazing.

Décoration originale et magnifique, personnel attentif, literie très confortable, tout était top! L'espace extérieur avec la piscine est inattendu et très accueillant, les espaces communs sont pleins de charme... À tester absolument!

Dommage en arrivant en fin de journée, notre chambre avait un problème, ils nous ont transféré dans un autre hôtel sans nous prévenir. Pourtant ils nous ont envoyé un WhatsApp dans l'après-midi. Trop tard pour faire réserver ailleurs. L'établissement possède trois palazzos. Les deux palazzos annexes n'ont pas de noms sur la rue, on tourne tous en rond dans la rue pour comprendre où est l'entrée. Donc notre chambre n'était plus dans l'hôtel qui avait la piscine mais ils nous ont assuré qu'on pouvait y aller. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un 3ème établissement. Gallipoli n'est pas grand mais 3 établissements pour aller de la chambre, au petit dej et enfin la piscine... Note positive, la nouvelle chambre était grande mais la salle de bain et certaines peintures ont besoin d'un rafraichissement. Je rejoins tout le monde pur dure que le petit déjeuner est très agréable. Nous avons demandé un dédommagement pour cette réservation modifiée et depuis pas de nouvelles.

Sublime et romantique Palais Italien. Petit déjeuner Garguantuesque, Piscine digne de ce Palais. Les chambres ont gardées le charme de l’ancien avec tout le confort du moderne. Le personnel est très agréable et sympatique. Juste compliqué de monter les valises depuis le parking public, a priori il y avait un service bagages mais on ne nous l’a pas proposé dommage.
