Para mim foi um dos hotéis mais bonitos pela sua quietude, comida maravilhosa e staff super simpático. Me senti em casa.

Wat een tegenvaller dit hotel. Absoluut geen 5 sterren maar eerder een 3 sterren hotel. Sfeerloos gebouw en dito kamer. Service wat je van een 5 sterren hotel mag verwachten is er niet. Alleen voor de eerste dag 3 capsules koffie op je kamer, voor de andere dagen moet je ze kopen. Avond eten oké maar niet super. We kregen de indruk dat ze niet met verse producten werken. Wijn onredelijk geprijsd. Ontbijt was overigens wel keurig verzorgd. Jammer jammer en nog eens jammer. Douro vallei uurtje rijden.

Excelente piscina interior a mais de 30°C.
Serviço muito simpático e atento.
Valores das refeições e bebidas excessivamente caras, aproveitando o facto de o hotel estar num sítio muito isolado e com poucas alternativas boas sem ter que percorrer estradas de curvas incessantes e praticamente sem iluminação pública.
Bom pequeno almoço com sumos naturais excelentes e ovos feitos no momento. Doces típicos caseiros em vez do donuts/queques habituais teriam sido apreciados. Estacionamento gratuito com 2 lugares de carregamento eléctrico.
A suite é gigante. Oferta de água, café e natinhas à chegada. Acrescentaria cortinados que tapem completamente as inúmeras janelas e uma melhor caminha para as crianças (os sofás cama são sempre desconfortáveis).

Disappointed. Truly sad with this experience. The hotel was super cold. The inside pool heating was not working. Manager proposed return of second night and then said he didn’t proposed anything. We ended up paying another hotel on the second night and never got the return for this hotel.

Good property with beautiful rooms that offer views of the surrounding vineyards.
A little remote in terms of activities outside of the hotel. Food at the hotel restaurant was good but the menu was somewhat limited.

Prior to arriving 8 emails were not answered. Phone calls went unanswered, on one occasion when the phone was answered it was after 25 attempts.
Lack of staff. For a Spa - lack of spa staff - who whilst competent lacked a smile. Pool and pool area needs a clean. Room service menus very limited. Room service exceptionally slow. Al in all explains the lack of guests.

NOT a 5 star hotel by a long shot but has a gorgeous view.
Here are some findings from our stay:
Parking has no elevator (drop your bags at reception before parking if you have large luggage).
No robes/slippers provided (isn’t this standard in a 5 star hotel?!).
You need a swim cap to use the indoor pool.
There are no refreshment services at the outdoor pool.
No do not disturb signs for the room door.
No coffee or tea facilities in room.
Offer no wine experiences (as per website) - don’t be fooled, they have none and no partnerships. You need to arrange them yourself and have to drive yourself everywhere (they are not located close to any) - considering they call themselves a wine and spa hotel … very disappointing!
They are clearly understaffed so some bar staff you’ll also notice are plating your dinner too.
Small and limited wine menu and very limited restaurant menu (items frequently run out).
One-way doors to the balcony by the restaurant (we got locked out and had to knock on the window for another guest to let us back in).
The restaurant staff are amazing, our waiter was so attentive and his english was excellent. So too was our check-in and check-out staff.
All in all, wouldn’t stay here again. Definitely not a 5* as they advise, more like a 3*. Not bad but wouldn’t recommend.

First impression you get is good, at check-in. They offer welcome drink with a smile. Then they show the have 3 kind of rooms, beeing one of those types with balcony - shared with other 3 rooms!!! Let us not forget it is rated as 5 stars hotel. On the way to the rooms, corridor wise, the floor was dirty - everyday! Room wise, the phone never worked, although we complained; the safe never worked, although we complained. Under the beds full with There were no amenities at all in the bathroom. Shower gel and shampoo set in the bath, where broken - no one fixed it. The indoor swimming pool water was dirty with cloudy. Staff was educated and nice, but for 175€/night its way to expensive, does not deliver and its never a 5 stars. I do not recomendo it. It was a very bad experience.
