de locatie van het hotel is zeer goed. Te voet naar Funchal ongeveer 30 minuten, alles is gemakkelijk te voet bereikbaar. Een paar tekortkomingen in de service, roomservice, maar verder OK. Gerenoveerde kamers en badkamer. Verder is het gebouw vrij sober. Veel ouder publiek. Voornamelijk Engels.

Check-in was verschrikkelijk. ******* Ik heb een uitzicht op de tuin geboekt. Toen ik bij het hotel aankwam, beweerden ze dat het een landzicht was. Ze lieten me de meest verschrikkelijke kamer zien en ik zei dat ik die niet zou nemen. Uiteindelijk lieten ze een aantal betere kamers zien met een beter uitzicht voor meer per nacht. Ik had geen andere keuze dan te betalen voor de upgrade. Het punt is dat de receptie zei dat ze nooit uitzicht op de tuin hebben (website van *******) alleen uitzicht op het land (in mijn geval een parkeerplaats)

Het is geen 5-sterrenhotel, maar eerder een 4, zeer onpersoonlijk welkom, restaurant gereserveerd voor de suites waartoe we geen toegang hadden, beddengoed van gemiddelde kwaliteit, grote kamer met balkon met uitzicht op de oceaan

I cannot fault this hotel, immaculate, nothing was too much trouble. We visited for a special anniversary and we're thoroughly spoilt. We will be back.

Beautiful hotel and gardens. Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and the breakfast buffet had a huge choice.

Absolutely amazing in every way. Lovely pool side seating with lots of different nooks. Pool Assistants were very attentive as was the lifeguard. Spotlessly clean. Prosecco with breakfast a massive plus! Plenty of choice to eat and bedrooms very stylish and comfortable. Great location about 20 minute walk from the centre but lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Will definitely come back.

I have visited the cliff bay hotel several times and am always pleased to return. It’s an outstanding hotel and the staff can’t do enough to make your stay great.
Definitely, a 5 star choice. Have booked for next year already.

Beautiful beautiful hotel! The views are amazing! It is definitely a quiet quiet resort to stay at. If you’re looking for a place to relax, no noise, hardly any children or teens. Definitely a place to relax. This is the place for you.
