Hotels bij House Museum of Frederico de Freitas, Funchal

we have stayed here for 5 nights and the breakfast choice was as great as we have thought after reading the reviews simply because they stick to just fixed items whereas when we stayed in 5 stars hotels in asia, there's always slight difference of options daily for breakfast. the stay was ok, I would stay it feels more like a good 4 stars than a true 5 stars

The location, the setting, the facilities and cleanliness is pretty good. The issue is with their service. We tried calling the reception during the working hours and there was no answer. They also did not call us back. If we are lucky, we will see a staff and get some assistance. It is important to have a car of your own otherwise it is difficult to get around in the resort. The total that the hotel charged is way more than what was shown in trip website. Even if I include the city tax it was still high. It is important to give a clear picture of the total amount of the booking. Just to put it in context, there was almost Euro 150 difference between what was shown in Trip website and the final amount that I paid to the hotel. This is a shocker for me. And of course it is not what I want to have a first experience of using Trip website. This needs to be looked into.

We really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

Service and food was excellent, with beautiful ocean views and infinity pool. Pool table was good but not much activities at teen club. Steam room was out of service during our trip. Overall a good, relaxing break.

Я выбирала отель с видом на океан по доступной цене. В итоге, нашелся отель с очень просторными номерами, панорамным окном, кофе/чай, удобной ванной комнатой с биде, большим балконом. Единственные моменты: раздельная кровать для пары и слабоватый душ. Шум ночных волн на любителя:) Нам пришлось закрывать дверь на балкон, хотя и так было довольно шумно. Сервис очень дружелюбный.  Завтрак вкусный и свежий. Много выпечки, напитки, нарезки и горячее.  Не ожидала, что будет бесплатный трансфер до центра и обратно. Абсолютный плюс этого отеля, потому что находится он не в шаговой доступности от центра.  Виды, чистота возле отеля, свой пляж - это потрясающе.  Далее мы проживали в частном секторе и много что посмотрели на острове, но первые две ночи в Orca Praia остались в нашем сердечке💘 С уважением,  Елена из России

The hotel is in a good location and the sea view room which we reserved had a nice view of ocean. But, I need to mention that this hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The whole building is old and they kept it in an old fashion way. The bath is not good, they don't offer even water in daily service and neither tea. (which is expected from a four star hotel) The elevator is old and always full, really not suitable for an eleven floor building.

Hartelijk dank aan het fantastische team van hotel Golden Residence. Van de fles mousserende wijn tot de kleine attenties zoals de snoepjes bij het uitchecken, ons verblijf was uitstekend. Het binnenzwembad en het Turks bad zijn een aanrader, naast het buitenzwembad. De kamers zijn ruim, met een woonkamer en kitchenette; het enige wat ontbrak was een tv in de slaapkamer. Zeer goede locatie.

We hebben hier 3 nachten verbleven. Over het algemeen is er niets te klagen. Het studio is groot. Het was misschien een beetje donker, maar het maakte ons niet veel zorgen. We hadden alles wat we nodig hadden. Locatie is goed. Ongeveer 20-25 min voet naar het centrum als je niet wilt een auto gebruiken. Parkeerplaatsen waren een beetje uitdaging elke keer, maar er waren geen dagen toen we geen auto konden verlaten, elke keer dat we een plek konden vinden, klinkt goed vooral als je niet hoeft te betalen. De buren waren rustig, dus we sliepen heel goed.

Zoals je me misschien vraagt ​​hoe mijn verblijf is verlopen, zijn we, zoals je weet, niet naar Madeira geweest. Ik heb me vergist met de data. Ik wilde maart en niet februari, en je antwoord was NEE. Ik boek nooit meer iets bij Trip.com. Niets ten nadele van Hotel Baleira. Hartelijk dank aan Patricia die alles heeft gedaan wat ze kon. We boekten op het laatste moment een driepersoonskamer met 3 bedden met late bird-prijs. Ze gaven ons echter een tweepersoonskamer met 2 bedden. Het bevindt zich op de 1e verdieping, net naast de tennisbaan, die nogal luidruchtig is. Het is 31 graden F, geen airconditioner. Slechts 1 klein raam kan worden geopend voor frisse lucht, maar het kijkt uit op een voetpad met veel gasten toegang tot het binnenzwembad, de fitnessruimte... enz. Niet genoeg privacy. Locatie is ok, want veel kleine supermarkten, restaurants en bushaltes vlakbij op loopafstand. Hotelfaciliteiten zijn goed voor de prijs.
