This Hilton appears to have two distinct areas: One that is older and has been "upgraded" to look like the more modern tower. As we arrived early, we were told if our room was ready before the 2:00 check in, there would be a $25.00 early check in fee.
We stayed three nights following a cruise and were assigned a room in the older area overlooking the pool. The room was not clean, particularly the bathroom area, and on the second day we had small insects in the bathroom. We requested to change rooms and were moved to the tower, which was cleaner. The walls are extremely thin and we couldn't help but overhear the goings on in the next room. Hotel staff at the front desk are friendly, while the rest of the staff are less so.
We dined at Olive and Sea and had a great meal with excellent service. We did not use the pool area. There is a $30.00 resort fee charge each night for which you receive a $20.00 voucher that can be used at the coffee shop (coffee is $5.00 and other prices are as high as one might expect in a hotel lobby).
There is a water taxi stop right behind the hotel, which is convenient ($40.00 for a one day ticket). The hotel is within walking distance of some shops and restaurants.
