Green Island Inn

What a little gem this hotel was for us! We had booked another hotel for our 2 night stay in fort Lauderdale before our cruise, but when we saw the reviews I went hunting for something better. And what a relief finding this place! The location for us was wonderful, just over the road from the beach to watch the sunrise, and only around 20 minutes to the port for our cruise. The hotel felt very secure as there was a door with a passcode on that was locked on a night. It felt very homely walking through to get to our room, not sure if people live there but it felt like a nice cosy place to be. Our room was absolutely immaculate! It was upstairs overlooking the pool, it felt like it had been recently renovated with a nice modern feel to it. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The kitchen area was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was also very nice with a light up mirror and a huge walk in shower! The pool area was nice and clean, very quiet for a weekend! We spent the night sat around the pool with some snacks and drinks, it was a perfect place to relax after travelling from the UK. There was a few shops for breakfast/snacks within walking distance for us. Overall it was a wonderful stay and if we’re ever back in fort lauderdale for a cruise we will definitely be booking again!

I’m extremely picky about clean. I bring my own cleaning supplies when traveling. I didn’t use any of them. The room was spotless! Friendly and beautiful! We’ll book again soon!

I had told them multiple times that the toilet was not working and was not corrected. Not helpful when asking questions as a first time visitor to the area. Disinterested in anything other then checking me in and then then acted like it was an inconvenience.

We enjoyed our time at Green Island Inn in a recently renovated studio suite. It was a cozy little place but the choices of decor are modern and lovely. Kitchen is supplied with good quality plates, pans and the bed is very comfortable. The only small changes we would recommend are having a small table or luggage rack, more comfortable chairs to watch TV on and access to local live TV channels - most of the TV channels required a subscription which we didn’t have. It is possible to walk to a beach from here although we didn’t have time this visit. Would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

We booked this as a cheaper option while waiting to get in our cruise, and by the time my husband and I left, we were trying to find excuses to come back and stay here. The room was updated, comfy, quiet, and the "neighbors" were very friendly! All the plants and gardens made it feel like a secret jungle paradise. :)

The outside is quaint looking and maybe a little dated but the room we had was fantastic. Redone at some point. Modern bath and kitchenette. Good bed. Really surprising. Three blocks from the beach.

Everything runs well here and the staff and ambiance are what brings guests back. Many of the rooms have been updated but the quaint and nostalgic feel remains. Close to all . It has become one of our favorite places to stay in South Florida.

A hidden gem! Stayed three nights here between cruises. Very spacious room (room 3j. Comfy king bed, large night tables and lamps, flat screen, large dresser, and closet. Kitchen area with stovetop and oven, fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. 4 piece bath. 7-11 a few blocks away. Winn-Dixie 5-10 min Drive. Nice courtyard with large pool and seating area. Adjacent to nice residential area. 5 minute walk to beach. Very quiet location. Modern through the wall heat/AC unit which was efficient and QUIET. Laundry equipment on site (you need quarters). A very nice, older property that is well kept up and clean. Not fancy, but very comfortable. Very comfortable. A tremendous value given the location and facilities offered. Would definitely stay there again!

Great little place! A beautiful short walk to the beach every morning. Lovely palm trees and plants all around. Nice clean pool with a grill. Very very nice staff! Location and price are excellent! Quiet and safe.
