Unieke locatie om te logeren. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij aankomst was er jammer genoeg geen plaats meer in het restaurant maar onmiddellijk werd er naar alternatieven gezocht door de dame aan het onthaal. Top service!

Gebrek aan personeel, Brasserie was gesloten, wijnbar was gesloten. Het Restaurant was (maand van tevoren) volgeboekt. Jammer. Een van de koks gesproken,in de eigen kruidentuin!, liet weten dat er weinig communicatie is tussen management/ receptie en de keukenbrigade. Mogelijk ook elders. Kan niet voorkomen in een Hotel/museum project op dit hoge niveau,waarin veel aandacht in details is gestoken.

Extraordinarily beautiful ground and physical plant repurposed for a hotel. Room are spacious. Beds comfortable. Shower walk in and sizeable. Views aplenty. At night with the windows open - no noise - except that of the forest. Parking a bit distant which allows for taking in the property anew each in and out but while essentially flat might prove challenging to some.

It is a wonderful place with unrepeatable atmosphere. Food, wine, the hotel itself, but most important the surrounding of the Abbey full of history an mystery. Definitely recommend as a place for business events and just for regular stay. I wish I could return here again.

We have stayed at the hotel as a family party on several occasions over some 25 years. It is in a unique location with access for hotel guests to wander round the adjacent Abbaye after it closes to the public. Hotel facilities are beautifully fitted into the historic buildings. The atmosphere is one of serenity. We could not recommend it more highly.

We loved our stay an had a warm welcome. We ordered diner at our room, because the restaurant was fully booked. Bringing the wine and bread before diner, would have been better. But still we loved staying at such a rich and historic place. Would love to come back.

I was there on business and the time spent in the hotel was too short. Everything is well thought out and I recommend it to anyone who wants a unique experience. It is my intention to go back for future vacation time with my family. I intend to return for future vacations with my family. Tout simplement bravo !

This is an amazing location, Fontevraud L’Abbaye is incredible and to be able to stay on site is such a privilege. The Hotel is clean with a minimalist vibe, but well organized and aesthetically blends in well with its environment. Rooms are basic but have all necessary amenities, beds were a little hard, with just one pillow (we asked for another). Breakfast was lovely.

It is truely a unique experience to be able to stay at the abbey and to wonder through it as a hotel guest at night was amazing. We had a group of 9 friends staying and a mixup with our reservation caused us to have to stay at another property for one of our two nights, the team at Fontevraud L’Hotel worked very hard to sort this out for us and we are very great full they did, thank you. This is a very special location with very helpful staff.
