Hotel Merlini

The hotel is in a building with a hostel and other hotels. But the lift takes you to a beautifully old-fashioned hotel on the top floor without any noise from lower down. The breakfast room is particularly attractive, with paintings and a view to the Cathedral and Palazzo Vecchio. Breakfast was great too. The staff couldn't have been more helpful (we much appreciated the umbrella they lent us!)

This hotel was in a very safe location. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.

This was the perfect place to stay! Extremely convenient location as everyone has noted. Not sure if the building was updated from older reviews, but THERE IS an elevator (lift) to use. Room was cleaned every day, shower water pressure and temp were fantastic. Marco and his dad were always friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and I personally didn't pick up the smell of smoke as noted in older reviews.

This is a beautiful old building, the top floor of which, contains the Hotel Merlini. The ground level has a bar with karaoke, but the activity dies down by 11pm or so. Even in full swing, the sounds faded away by the time I got upstairs - a benefit to the old style of construction. The room was spotless and well maintained during my stay. The hotel is not a 4 star hotel with pool, concierge, workout room, etc. but I didn't want that. I don't go to Firenze to be entertained at a resort-like compound. I want a place to sleep, wash up, and turnaround to hit the town again. The family that runs it is very friendly and always (24hrs a day) available to let you in - as your room key does not open the front door, it is manned by a family member at all times. At first, I thought that was inefficient, but I am sure it is done for security reasons. If what you are looking for is a clean room, friendly staff, in a simple but clean and well-maintained hotel that is 5 minutes from rail and in the midst of the old section of the city, this is the place for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Personale super cordiale in un bellissimo palazzo fiorentino con ambiente pulito e confortevole. Camera con vista bellissima sulla città. Posizione ottima a pochi passi dalla stazione e dal centro storico. Lo consiglierò sicuramente.

Atendimento ótimo e muito prestativo da recepção para qualquer coisa é muito divertido, travesseiros muito confortáveis e um quarto muito agradável, limpo e fresco. Voltar da rua para o hotel era como uma brisa de plenitude. Estou muito feliz com o serviço e ficaria aqui de novo

hotel tres respectable , nous avons été très bien reçus , un acceuil gentil , sumpathique , bienveillant . les chambres sont spacieuses , salle de bain pratique . hotel tres propre , simple et efficace. petit dejeuner parfait . les propriétaire sont tres acceuillant. nous avions eu 30 minutes de retard pour service mais aucuns soucis, nous avons pu nous restaurer . merci ! hotel très bien situé , proche de tout ! pour finir nous recommandons vraiment cet emplacement . tres bon rapport qualité , prix . merci a hotel molto rispettabile, siamo stati molto ben accolti, una sorta, sompatica, accoglienza premurosa. le camere sono spaziose e comodo bagno. hotel molto pulito, semplice ed efficiente. colazione perfetta. i proprietari sono molto accoglienti. eravamo stati 30 minuti in ritardo per il servizio, ma nessuna preoccupazione, siamo stati in grado di ripristinare. grazie! hotel molto ben posizionato, vicino a tutto! per finire consigliamo davvero questa posizione. rapporto di qualità molto buono, prezzo. grazie.
