Dante's Relais

Dantes Relais (apartments) is located in an amazing central location, walking distance to everything you want to see and experience in beautiful Florence. Our host Carmine is brilliant and provides superb service (eg, dropping off extra shampoo & body wash). He continuously reminds us that he works for us and seems willing to address any need. There are a few negatives but they are too minor to mention (eg, communal kettle & fridge). What's important is that the room is huge (we have Deluxe Queen room) and, with the shutters open, it's bright and airy. It's warm enough for March though could be too hot in summer because there's no air conditioning. But there are 2 large windows which can be opened for a cooling breeze. The shower works well with plenty of hot water with a nice pressure. The TV isn't smart so we're enjoying Italian TV programs instead of watching Netflix. But that's okay - we're in Italy to experience the Italian way of life. The real highlight is the location. Step outside and you're instantly overwhelmed by the choice of amazing restaurants and shops, with many luxury brands nearby. If there's a better location in Florence, I would be surprised. Other people have complained about the street noise but it's perfectly acceptable. I expected it to be much louder. I barely notice it. But it could be a problem for sensitive people who can't cope with inner city life. Check out my photos of the room (#3) and the view from our windows. The room was not as we saw it when we made our reservation. There was no soundproof and you can hear everything from the neighbouring rooms. The radiator is not working properly. There was not a sample of a shampoo or a soap and the bathroom smelled awful. The 2 stars are only for the location of the room which is in the centre of Firenze.

The place is well located. The sheets are clean. That is it. The rest is bad. Service, facilities, bathroom etc. Does not accept credit cards. Recommend only to those who do not care at all about quality and are only thinking about the location.

Le foto online sono molto artistiche e non lasciano intravedere la polvere sulle travi e per terra, non c’è un bidet, lavandino piccolissimo solo per lavarsi le mani, specchio sporco. Inoltre non c’è l’impianto di climatizzazione. Siamo stati per 3 giorni e asciugamani e lenzuola non sono state cambiate per tutto il tempo del soggiorno. Assenza di balcone per far asciugare le robe.

Posizione unica!!!! Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. La nostra stanza era pulitissima e bella. La donna della pulizie ci ha anche chiesto se volevamo ulteriori saponi ed asciugamani, veramente efficienti. Il responsabile, Carmine, è stato bravissimo,molto disponibile, davvero gentile e competente. Abbiamo riscontrato due pecche: i termosifoni sono temporizzati,noi siamo capitati in una settimana in cui fuori c'erano 0 gradi per cui non sempre la temperatura della stanza è risultata adeguata. Altra pecca,sono stati i rumori provocati dalle attività lì intorno che iniziavano il trambusto dalle 6:00 del mattino..consiglio la struttura ma portatevi i tappi per le orecchie!

siamo stati particolarmente colpiti dalla mancanza di cura di un relais che a noi è costato ben euro 629 per sole 2 notti , praticamente il costo di un hotel a 3/4 stelle ! Nella stanza ci sono poltrona e divano pieni di macchie , tende e imposte delle finistre piene di polvere . Non ci sono asciugamani sufficienti , non c’è un sapone liquido per le mani , non ci sono bicchieri , non c’è una bottiglia d’acqua , non c’è un frigo ( io non metto la mia bottiglia d’acqua in un frigo fuori dalla mia stanza ) , la luce del comodino non funziona, il ventilatore se si sposta fa un rumore allucinante ! Potrei continuare ma finisco qui … euro 629 …

Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo prenotato una notte in questo affittacamere nel centro di Firenze per andare a vedere il concerto di Vasco Rossi alla Visarno Arena. La posizione é comodissima (se non si deve arrivare all'arena), soprattutto per chi decide di trascorrere qualche giorno nel cuore della città. Purtroppo ci sono delle cose che non ci sono piaciute molto però, come per esempio il bagno della camera, davvero troppo piccolo e stretto, con i sanitari praticamente attaccati al muro di fronte, la doccia da sistemare per quanto riguarda le fughe e un lavandino piccolissimo. Le camere non sono climatizzate e chi é un po' pratico di Firenze sa, quanto possa essere calda e afosa in estate. Mi dispiace, perché il proprietario é anche molto gentile, peró bisognerebbe dare una sistemata alle camere.. un altro esempio é la poltrona che si trovava all'interno della stanza, piena di macchie e polvere.. ci vogliono più accortezze purtroppo. Soprattutto se si pagano 60€ a persona a notte..

Abbiamo pernottato per una notte, al momento del nostro arrivo il carissimo Nunzio, nonché il gestore del relais, ci ha fornito le migliori informazioni per poter raggiungere la struttura nel modo più semplice. Il Dante's Relais si è presentato molto pulito e caratteristico, nel centro di Firenze, a pochissimi passi da Palazzo Vecchio. L'organizzazione del signor Nunzio è pazzesca, è stato tanto gentile da farci lasciare i bagagli in deposito dopo il check-out. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura, per l'ottima posizione e per la cordialità ricevuta. Lascio quattro stelle, perché ho ritenuto che il bagno sia stato arrangiato ed ahimè troppo piccolo, sanitari compresi.
