Fenghuang Dengli Courtyard Inn (East Gate of the Ancient City)

Het huis is heel uniek, met een binnenplaats, schoon en hygiënisch, en er is een mooie plek direct buiten. De hospita is erg gastvrij en zet de airconditioning in de kamer aan voordat mensen arriveren. Omdat we ergens anders geparkeerd hadden, heeft de hospita ons uitgekozen te voet en de locatie is gemakkelijk te vinden.

Het ligt in het schilderachtige gebied van de oude stad, dicht bij Hongqiao en Li Family Ancestral Hall. Rustig in de drukte, de kleine binnenplaats is zeer aangenaam. Ik dacht dat de eerste verdieping vochtig was, maar dat was eigenlijk niet zo. De eigenares was erg enthousiast, legde ons de route uit en bewaarde onze bagage.

1. Very good service. Met us at HONG QIAO and help with luggage. Its a FAR walk down the staircase through alleys on Cobblestone walkways. We hv to drag own suitcase on departure up the stairs as we left very early. Make sure call to meet at HongQiao. Location is very close to scenic area once familiarize with the lanes and alleys. We got lost few times finding the hotel. 2. Read review about SPIDER in residence. and true enough.. saw the big spider on check out day. 3. We check in at noon. open the luggage on floor came back and saw coachroach inside. Owner bring SPRAY to try catch the coachroach but could not be found. 4. Most yucky is the KETTLE. i hv wash and rinse before using. AFter boil water i pour into my thermos as there is no CUP in the room. Later i see the POT is full of some floating stuff and i went to vomit. felt very disgusted 5. No cups in room. The drawer where hair dryer is.. Is full of dust. Our room is on ground-floor next to reception.

It was a really pleasant stay. It was a bit difficult to find at the beginning due to the narrow streets but it is really good located. The owner was super nice and welcoming. We could also do the laundry there without problems. I would highly recommend this acommodation :)

Very good location in a quiet street in the old town. Clean room. All convenience nearby.
