Het is een prachtige locatie in een kasteel. Compleet met meubilair uit die mooie vervlogen tijden. De superior room die we kregen was echt geweldig. We werden aangenaam verrast door een mooi taartje en fles bubbels op de kamer vanwege onze huwelijksreis . Erg attent!

Omdat wij al veel Pousadas in Portugal bezocht hebben, stond deze nog op ons lijstje. Zeker een aanrader. Kasteel met mooie kamers. Wij hadden uitzicht op de stad hetgeen zeker beter uitzicht is dan op de binnenplaats. Ook de eerste etage lijkt ons mooiere kamers te hebben dan de t****e etage. Vanuit Estremoz reden we naar de Pousada Marvao, ook een aanrader.

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, kind and helpful, and really superb management. Dinner was outstanding- we had the quail and sea bass .incredible views, fun room, cool history. beautiful special unique stay, highly recommend!

Unique pousada in ancient castle full of old art of all kinds, gorgeous majestic rooms. Wonderful ambience and styles. Spacious rooms with beautiful bathroom and supplies. Delicious breakfast. Delicious dinner and wines. Great spot for taking excursions to other historic towns, wine tasting etc in the Alentejo area. This is a treat

A beautiful hotel and great service. You really feel you are in a castle. Breakfast was very good. Dinner in the restaurant was below expectations, I think they are understaffed. Overall a must see hotel to stay in. Walking distance from many restaurants.

I am sitting in my room in my coat as the heating is abysmal. There is a thermostat, but apparently it is just to turn the ‘heating’ on or off. There is one small heating vent in the room and the amount of heat emitted is almost non existent. The radiator in the bathroom is not working at all. The receptionist has tried her best and has brought a portable radiator. This purports to be a ‘luxury’ hotel. I think not

It was really fun to stay in this beautiful castle. It's furnished with the original pieces, the views are spectacular and the staff is lovely. It's a great home base for day trips to various castles in the area as well.

Stayed two nights and we were royally treated to a huge suite with a living room. The staff went out of their way to book restaurants and tours for us. We were made to feel very welcome.
Parking was close, and free, outside the front door. The castle is filled with incredible furniture and antique paintings even in our bedroom. It has been well refurbished into a unique hotel with the feeling that you’ve stepped back into the 17th century. We walked up the stairs to the top of the tower, and had amazing views of all of Estremoz. The breakfast was the best we had throughout Portugal with an amazing variety and endless food. We also had dinner there which was superb. Great value all around. Do not not miss this rare experience!

It's a very charming hotel overlooking the city and great views of the Alentejo. Full of history, with amazing decorations, comfort, and a very friendly staff. Our room had a large window with the view of the city, and internally decorated with paintings and old furniture, so it was comfortable but without making it look like a modern hotel.
