Heerlijk plekje in de natuur met super mooi opgeknapte huisjes, overheerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt, prettig en vriendelijk personeel! Het is allemaal heel goed verzorgd. De huisjes zijn prachtig opgeknapt, sommige huisjes zijn wel wat donker door weinig licht inval maar dit hoort bij deze authentieke huisjes. Als je wil kun je een heerlijke avond maaltijd in je huis laten bezorgen. Je kunt er verder prachtig wandelen naar andere dorpjes met leuke terrasjes. Wij hebben er een fantastische tijd gehad en zijn fan van Cerdeira!

This was the last place we visited in Portugal and by far our favourite. A charming restored village in a remote forest setting, with wonderful warm staff, excellent meals, charming restored accommodation, and a great base for hiking to neighbouring schist villages. The art 'resort' is very well run guided by a great vision and eco-friendly principles. You need a car to get to the village but it is well worth the effort. Highly recommended!

The room was comfortable with a great view. We had simple dinners at the cafe each night. Much better than driving the windy road to Lousã after dark. The staff were very helpful! We thought Cerdeira was the best of the villages. Candal and Talasnal were nice too.

We enjoyed our stay at Cerdeira. Loved the village and the project is very interesting as well as the philosophy of the place The peace and quiet was wonderful and we really liked it ! Allowed us to connect with nature and disconnect from the busy world out there. We will return !!!

Incredible and magical place! Adorable staff, incredible house and magical forest nearby. We will definitely come back! :) thank you for everything! We stayed at Casa Azeitona which is perfect for families!

Beautifully located and appointed cottages, with outstanding views in every direction. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast including local products and house-made jams. They even provided an excellent slow-cooked cabrito dinner despite our late arrival. The attention to detail is a clear indicator of the vision with which Cerdeira was started and which directs the careful ongoing implementation of that vision.

Unique place for an escape from the noise and stress of the city. Nice cabins, comfortable yet true to their initial purpose as poor rural houses. And a magnificent environment, truly perfect for a relaxed stay.

We loved our stay at magical Cedeira. We took advantage of the walking trails. Wi-fi is
Understandably spotty. The bed was very comfortable. The views are breathtaking. The art in the house was fun and eclectic. We hope to come again and stay longer!

Great place to spend a few days, and even better when combining the holidays with an interesting course on ceramics, greenwoodworking or other topics. Wonderful experience I have just been through, with six wonderful days creating my own chair with green wood, using mostly simple tools and artisanal methods. Excellent course by an excellent teacher, Peter Lanyon, in the midst of a paradise on earth. Better spent in a cabin than in the hostel, where the conditions (two rooms with 6 beds for women and 6 beds for men, common kitchen, WCs for men and women) tend to be less comfortable than ideal to fully enjoy the utter quiet and peacefulness of the place.
