Super 8 by Wyndham Escanaba

Clean & spacious room. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Nice & quiet. Hotel was above & beyond what I expected for a hotel in the budget friendly price range.

This hotel was scary. I was scared to death of that place. The room was like a freezer and it smelled like an ashtray. It was all disorganized dysfunctional. The curtains were half on and half off the bedding was all wrinkled and haphazardly applied to the beds. It was nasty. I looked at three different rooms and asked for a refund the clerk gladly refunded my money and I am so thankful I would never recommend this place. Sadly I’ve been to other super rates that were just the opposite. They were amazing, but not this one.

Pool area was dirty ...pool and hot tub were good...Rooms had a slight smell to them . Breakfast was ok. It got us by. Staff was helpful .. to say check in and out

Old hotel, didn’t smell good. Doors didn’t latch well Outside doors left open; shady people in parking lot. Breakfast ok and beds ok. Rooms clean enough but thin and few towels Would NOT stay again

Carpeting in room appeared very clean and nearly new. Restaurant down the road recommended by staff was very good.

Our room was hot, muggy and did not smell fresh/clean when we arrived. No coffee or condiments. Our tv remote didn’t work properly. Our tv was stuck on and could not get it shut off. We had to unplug it. Toilet would not flush, when we tried it was squirting out the base and leaking all over the bathroom floor. Dirty sewer water came up through the shower drain. When we notified staff their response was “oh yeah we know there’s a problem, others have complained as well”. But did nothing to accommodate us for the disgusting inconvenience, or partial if not full refund. Breakfast biscuits were still doughy, bacon wasn’t fully cooked, eggs were watery and majority of the food was cold if not empty/gone.

The room was very clean and very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was pathetic at best. The employee was more interested in her phone than taking care of the food. We had to keep asking for food.

I always stay at this Super 8 when I head north. It’s right in the UP and is clean and nice.

Just spent a short night, no time for any of the extras. It was a bed to sleep in. Had to fiddle with the AC to get it to turn on, and remote was missing batteries. Front desk replaced them, but she had to go find them first and bring them to us.
