Hotel Rural Binigaus Vell

Just spent a gloriously relaxing three days here and can't recommend it enough. It is off the beaten track down a stone-walled lane and away from all the relative hustle and bustle of Menorca. The junior suite was spotlessly clean and comfortable and there is a large-sized pool to cool off in surrounded by zen-style gravel beds and beds of flowers and roses. Sounds a bit cliché but it truly is an oasis of tranquillity and we really didn't want to leave. The food is of an exceptional quality and in the evening one dines up near the Main House /Finca overlooking the rolling Menorca countryside with the sea in the distance. Very helpful and friendly staff. The mansion is just off the track that leads down to the walk through the limestone escarpment to the glorious deserted (at least in the early morning) of Binigaus) beach. It's quite a strenuous walk and best done in the early morning or evening before it gets too baking hot. It's just superlatives all round really for this marvellous place and the only negative moment was when a kid and father played ball in the pool and upset the peace and quiet of the pool area much to the obvious annoyance of those relaxing and snoozing in the shade of the sun parasols.

An outstanding hotel in beautiful and quiet location. Superb accommodation and excellent food. Really friendly and helpful staff . If you are looking for luxury and tranquility at a fair price this is the place.. Highly recommend.

Even before we arrived, I had formed a very good impression of this hotel, thanks to Andres’ prompt and positive answers to my requests. After a 12 night stay, I am more than impressed. It is charming in style. Everything is immaculate.The garden has been cleverly designed with patchworks of flowers. Our room, a Junior Suite De Luxe was huge and very practical. The 2 room terraces are definitely a bonus. The restaurant’s terrace is very pleasant, the service efficient, friendly and always with a smile. The food on the whole was good. Breakfast is a huge choice to satisfy all appetites. Andres’ explanations of the island were very helpful and enabled us to make the most of our stay.

Fantastic family run hotel with very attentive staff that has been there for years. They have rooms that fit 4 so perfect for our family. The setting is stunning and you never feel is busy. Nice breakfast with local delicacies and very nice dinner offering with high quality products. Always helpful from giving advice to lending chairs to sand toys. It is put second tine there and we will surely repeat.

Amazing, picturesque quite place, where you can feel at home. Very friendly, responsive and helpful staff. Clean rooms, delicious dinners, authentic interior and lovely garden. Creative bar with various drinks.

What an amazing and relaxing stay at BinigausVell****... If you're looking for a quiet and charming typical Minorquin hotel, this is the place to go. Located in the countryside, in the center of the island (perfect to explore) you will find it absolutely peaceful as the only noises you'll hear are from the cicadas. Our room was spacious, clean and equiped with both AC and a private terrace. Food wise, the breakfast buffet is generous with local specialties on top of the usual basics (fruits, müesli, coffee, tea, cheeses and cold cuts ; plus eggs on demand, prepared to your taste). We've also enjoyed the swimming pool and the restaurant, where we had a really nice dinner (quality and delicious dishes). I will go back.

This hotel is just outside of a small town, walkable, nestled in a rural setting of olive trees and pastures. The road leading to the hotel is very narrow but you will hardly ever meet oncoming traffic and even if there are snall spaces to pull in. There are different rooms to chose from, some are more modern than others. There is a wonderful pool with plenty of seating, an honesty bar,open till midnight, where you can get drinks and a wonderful restaurant. Our evening meals There were delicious, best food we had on the island! You can also order cold snacks for lunch. Reception staff and waiting staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool/Beach towels available at reception. Breakfast wasn't fantastic, not too many choices, but ok. What was really bothersome were the many wasps that decented on you as soon as you sat down to eat. Unpleasant. Staff tried to put little wasp traps down but not enough. I am not sure what could be done, but it was a real nuisance while eating. Otherwise amazing, tranquil, a beautiful little oasis.

I thought this hotel was beautiful - very traditional but luxurious too. The setting is perfect and the outdoor areas including the pool are beautiful. You feel instantly relaxed as soon as you walk in. The bedroom (number 14) was extremely comfortable and breakfast was varied and very high quality - good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, perfectly ripe fruit, delicious eggs. I have no criticisms. The hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. They dealt with a couple of issues for us without complaint and they allowed us a late check out which was very helpful. I thoroughly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return. It's even better than the photos, especially inside.

This is our third visit and from that alone it is obvious that we really like this hotel. We stay in a suite with terrace which is large and very comfortable. The staff are great and the hotel is very well run. The pool area,gardens and restaurant are all very scenic with views over rural countryside to the sea. We ate in the restaurant three nights and each meal was delicious. We look forward to returning.
