Brisa Pacifica Hotel Encinitas

Located next to the train tracks this somewhat shabby hotel is definitely thin on amenities and would be more of a 3 star range in regards to condition of the room, quality of the comfort of the beds, and overall feel of the place. It’s got a rundown sort of feel and needs a serious updating

Stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. The smell of cleaner is a bit strong, but the rooms are clean and staff is nice. Great location.

Room was filthy and not cleaned upon our arrival. We arrived late and tired and had to wait after 10pm before entering our room. This is a disgrace.

Way over rated. This is a budget hotel at best. Not sure why people are giving this place 8's? The refurbishing that has been done is low quality. Bed is very firm and you could hear springs when you moved around. Breakfast was small muffins, small Danishes, cookies with apples and orange juice. I went to get coffee about 9am the pot had been put away. We stay in San Diego often for medical treatments and it helps us financially to find a place with free parking and a full Breakfast. The price at this hotel for what you get is not remarkable......fake advertising at best. Rating this hotel in the 8's borders on fraud.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. Very quaint small town feel. A little old but we noticed renovations occurring so might be better next time. Great employees that are very attentive and friendly.

Weekend stay. Close to the beach and beautiful views. Close to Encinitas Blvd shops and eateries. Small but good for a budget trip to SD. They give coffee and orange juice in the mornings, as well as pastries and fruit. They don't include shampoo or lots of toiletries but we had our own so it wasn't an issue for us. Overall good experience.

Our room had a HORRIBLE FOUL SMELL in the bathroom that went into the room. When we arrived at the room, the windows were wide open. Maybe they were trying to air out the smell? I went to the front desk and explained. She came back to the room with me to see for herself. Then she told me to wait while she checks on a solution. They did not have any room to switch us to. That would have solved things! This situation was not our fault. They said they could send a technician in the morning??? That would be too late. Because it smelled so foul and they couldn't solve the issue, we couldn't sleep in that room. The room was not in proper condition for guests! We ended up booking at another hotel, we had the inconvenience of moving to another place and paying for it because of the condition of the room we were given. This is solely the responsibility of the hotel! They REFUSED to issue a refund. They kept our money without providing a proper room! I called 4 times about this to talk to them. At first they seemed to understand and led me to believe they would issue the refund. We were only briefly in the room, trying to see if it would air out and then waiting for the hotel to respond to our situation. I don't understand this kind of behavior! I find it very upsetting that they are keeping the money and not treating their guests better. They could have apologized for the situation. No, they did not. They could have refunded our money when we left. No they did not!

It’s in a great area, but personally I think it’s overpriced for a 2 ⭐️ hotel. It’s very clean. However, there is chipped paint here and there and scrapes on the very utilitarian furniture. The breakfast barely qualifies asa Continental breakfast with mass produced mini muffins, mini danishes, and cookies. Did appreciate the real orange juice.

Nice stay, clean room and bathroom. Location was ideal, nearby restaurants and beach access.would stay here again for sure.
