Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Elk Grove Village/Itasca

I would have given 4 stars if not: 1. Only 1 person on staff during check-in/evening. Waited in 20 min line and learned it was the same for a few hours on Sat. The lady at the desk said it was normal (she was in good spirits and pleasant). 2. Restaurant/sports bar next door has loud outdoor music every night (even though no one is outside) and hotel outside walls are THIN. I called the business both nights and they turned it off, but you would think that the hotel would help find a solution as I learned it is an ongoing problem. 3. Kids are in pool area unsupervised. We were hoping to swim before checkout and found that it was closed for maintenance as someone trashed the pool the night before. Not surprising as the owner/operator does not prioritize having enough staff or a camera that works in the pool area. It was disappointing to tell a toddler that we can’t swim because the hotel does not monitor the pool area (which also never has towels). Be willing to wait for everything, not swim, and have some general frustration at some point during your stay. Upside was - great staff, good breakfast, nice and clean room, and a safe and secure location.

Nice place, somewhat noisy with the events ongoing in the ballroom but didn't go late. Easy access to the airport and local area.

I gave the hotel an average rating for property condition and facilities due to our initial experience of entering a freezing room, requiring repairs for our suite. However, I must commend Charles, the young man who promptly and efficiently addressed and repaired both heaters. His politeness and apology were appreciated. Thanks to his dedicated efforts in resolving the issues, I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Pool was nice and warm, hot tub was nice and hot but both could be cleaned a little more. The only real complaint was that the beds are very uncomfortable. We were there 3 days and our key card kept getting deactivated even an hour before it was suppose to be checkout time so I had to keep getting it deactivated. Breakfast was just normal hotel breakfast, nothing great. The rooms were very clean.

The hotel staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, the room was clean and comfortable.

Efficient check in. Room was roomy and clean. The pool area is acceptable. Needs some easy TLC to bring it back to acceptable condition.

Everything was good, except the bed was not comfortable and for the price I would like to have a nice comfy bed to sleep in. Otherwise nice!

There was no handing signs at the door to tell no cleaning service is needed.

The breakfast was terrible all of the breads were stale. Pillows were very small. Shower handle was broke.
