Of course, probably the worst listing on Trip.com and an experience that has made me reconsider ever booking something with them again. Contacted Trip for cancellation for this booking 15 days before arrival, and was willing to pay a cancellation fee, as I have done for other bookings previously, but in this case, Trip.com told me that they could not contact the supplie and that I would have to be patient. I was very patient for nearly 2 and a half weeks, during which time they could not contact the hotel. I also could not contact the hotel with the number provided, and was also not able to arrange the free airport pick up as advertised. These were all clear red flags but trip.com said there was not much they could do and i would have to be patient and let them 'investigate'. The result was that a local driver brought us to the location listed, and we found no one there to receive us or help us check in. We left, got a nearby Airbnb in El Nido for DOUBLE THE PRICE, AND still Trip.com said they were having trouble contacting their supplier. Something stinks in this story and it's not the local air. It seems like there was negligence on trip.com's behalf to work with such a terrible supplier.
