We were lucky to have two days of clear sky and had a really great time. The hotel suited exactly what we needed for one night. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. It was like waking up and heating the city. Very close to the famous Dean ville, Castle, Haymarket station and airport. The building gives you the modern and classic vibe which was justwhat we were looking for. Definitely see you soon. Ps- sorry about the photos 🙏🏼

Not a ‘boutique’ hotel as described. Very small rooms, mattresses are terrible and everything is worn out. Most things need replacing and updating. Totally overpriced for what you get. Asked for a different room twice

Awesome location and very helpful staff. Newly renovated room equipped with good heating and comfortable beds.
I'm especially amazed by their Scottish breakfast - they are really tasty with a lot of choices. Will definitely stay here again if I get to stay in Edinburgh in the future!

So.. where to start.. Checked in and was given Room 100.. Room 100 is on the ground floor right next to reception and with a window over-looking the main road.. If you like the constant noise of doors slamming, listening to large groups chatting in the reception area and constant noise throughout the night then this is the room for you... If you like a nice nights sleep, then I'd honestly think about finding a better hotel (there's a lot of great other options in the area!).. Worth noting that WiFi works in reception, but doesn't even extend to Room 100 which is about 15 feet away from the main reception desk!! Not a great stay... Never Again !!

Hotel bezocht voor 3 dagen i.v.m. bezoek van taptoe in Edinburgh. Check in verliep snel en vriendelijk. Kamer die wij hadden (204) was ruim en netjes. Bedden waren lekker. Badkamer was voorzien van heerlijke douche. Ontbijt is a la card. Je kunt uit diverse gerechten bestellen zoals een Schots ontbijt. Er staat een klein buffet met sapjes, toast brood, croissants en muesli. Locatie van hotel is perfect. Met 15min wandelen ben je in de old town. Bushaltes liggen bijna op elke hoek.
Tijdens onze laatste nacht geen het brandalarm af. Bleek helaas loos alarm te zijn.
In dit boetiek hotel tref je ook een self service bar aan in de huiskamer. Je mag de consumpties opschrijven en worden dan op je rekening geboekt.
Al met al een fijn hotel voor een stedentrip

Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, but the hotel is in desperate need of some TLC, and the cleanliness in the non obvious places is non existent. Mattresses need changing and kids bed is a uncomfortable. It's a shame as it is a lovely property, just needs a bit of investment.

How this is rated as a VIP property I am not sure. The place was very run down, the room small and not well designed, ie couldn’t get the suitcase to open part of the room without lifting it over the bed. Parking was a nightmare to get in and out of. Breakfast was good but sleeping impossible without earplugs since the floors creek and you can hear everything through the walls. The price was very cheap but so were nicer places in the area. Oh and the elevator didn’t work. I illiminated other choices due to no elevator.staff were wonderful, helped carry bags up and downstairs and location great for sightseeing

Quiet area, good breakfast provided however, room service was not up to standards as only towels were changed on demand and the room was not actually cleaned.
