We've just returned from a two night stay at Domaine Dorchamps and are already looking to rebook! Upon arriving we were greeted by Jiroud, one of the owners with a great welcoming smile and a helpful hand with our overnight bags. The grounds were beautiful and there was a sweet smell throughout the area. The view with the mountains at the horizon was so calming and serene. When we entered the B&B we automatically felt like we were on one of our European trips. Elegance, coziness and so many detailed objects of luxury for us to appreciate. Every room in the B&B was stunning. We learned that (the other owner) Sabrina, Jiroud's wife was an interior decorator. The visual pleasures and the luxurious smell in the home are so welcoming and soothing...We were instantly relaxed and calm. Jiroud, showed us to our room where it was displayed just as the photos and description online. Fresh flowers and crystal decanters filled with fresh water everyday as well as homebred cookies and sweet chocolates under a glass dome were placed in our room every afternoon . The Bvlgari toiletries and the Frette bed linens, robe and slippers just showed the great taste and attention to detail they both have...and if all this wasn't enough , we were treated everyday to evening glass of wine and tasty tapas style h'orderves, which we so enjoyed on the side terrace (which Jiroud built himself). The conversations were so appreciated and we met another lovely couple from the US that added to our special weekend getaway. The next morning we were asked where we would like to have breakfast, we opted to have our coffee outdoors on the front terrace and then breakfast upstairs in one of the charming dining areas. The cutlery and linens and the fresh flowers on the table all added to our senses and visual pleasures...until the breakfast came...then we were absolutely floored! Sabrina, had prepared a three tier European style gourmet breakfast selection of fresh berries, mangos, scrambled eggs with chives with crispy bacon , croissants and many more little food treasures. There was also a bread and continental selection where you can serve yourself with a selection of jams and butter....it was so delicious and the presentation alone that Sabrina took the time to set up for us is what sets this B&B aside from all others we have been to. Jiroud genuinely took the time to converse with us, make us laugh and also taught us a few things about history (you must ask about the paintings in the queen room) I can go on and on about how perfect a place it is and how much you will adore the place and both Sabrina and Jiroud...I will end by saying we had a wonderful time, appreciated all they did and enjoyed the area as well (we took had a spa day at Le Balnea) and that we would and already have recommended Domaine Dorchamps to our friends and family. We are looking forward to our return visit! Merci gros bisouxxxxx
