Dubbo Midstate Motor Park

Basic simple amenities and spacious sites with good access. A bit tight through the cabins at the front of the park to get to the caravan sites but ok. Can hear both the road and other campers / residents at night. Friendly check in staff. Overall ok place to stay overnight.

Be prepared to be charged before your arrival without consent or seeing where You are staying...photos advertised are completely different ...cabin 16 or should I say container with holes in in the floor for night visitors.. Not clean on arrival old used sheets, towels, mugs & cutlery from last visiting. The cleaner arrived and asked me should she mop the floor? Get out fast or go home sick..took 3 days to recover! Definitely not worth $175 a night!!!

Stayed overnight on our way home in a cabin. Squeaky clean and well set up. The staff were very welcoming. We were able to take our little dog in with us which was the most important thing. On the northern side of town, easy to find and close to most things. We would stay again.

Super friendly staff. Excellent value for the price. It was quiet, amenities are older but super clean. Short drive to the shops. We did the bike ride to the zoo which was fabulous. It starts near the bridge behind the netball courts. Would stay again.

We recently travelled 5 hours to adopt a pet and stay overnight then make the journey home. We had never stayed in pet friendy accommodation before. From checking in to checking out the service was outstanding. I felt very comfortable staying there with our new addition also i also had our 8 year old with me who can be full on as dad was working. We took extra precautions with having a little dog inside covering the floor etc and a crate but was told not needed but i still wanted treat it as our own .The cabin is one of the best i have ever stayed in. Very spacious and clean and all the amenities needed and the price was great also. We would like to go to dubbo zoo one day as a family and will definitely use ths accommodation again just without the pet.

Small park on the Newell Hwy in Dubbo. Easy to get to and a good location. We hired a 2 bedroom cabin for 3 nights. Very clean with everything you need when away from home. Nothing was too much trouble - ranging from an extra night without moving house to a small leak in the bathroom. Managers and staff constantly improving things. Would definitely stay here again.

The manager of the park is fantastic. Incredibly helpful and really prepared to go the extra mile. All staff were friendly and helpful. Worth staying for the management alone. Thanks for your warmth.

This was a busy Easter weekend and we were grateful to find a vacancy. Midstate would definitely not be a first choice. This should not be a G'day Park. The good: Our experience was that the amenities were clean with plenty of hot water and good pressure. We saw the cleaner at work and she was definitely doing a thorough job. The bad: We received a text at 9:00am on Easter Monday to say that no one would be in the office so we needed to open a box with a code and get instructions. We later got another text saying that an electric scooter had been stolen from the park and we should be vigilant. Hardly welcoming! Our neighbours told us that when they arrived the space had not been vacated. It took hours for someone to arrive and evict the occupants so they could set up. Our neighbours also reported that a backpacker who seemed drug affected had approached them and asked for the code to the amenities. Maintenance is clearly not a priority. There are cracked tiles in the amenities and our slab was badly broken - quite dangerous if you weren't careful. There is no children's playground. The ugly: We were surrounded by the amenities block, dump point and sewerage tanks. There was definitely a most unpleasant whiff in the air. Apparently, the sewage had overflowed the previous day and none of the toilets would flush. A plumber had sorted the problem, but the stench remained. Summary: Security and order cannot be maintained if no one is in the office (or only comes in intermittently) on a busy weekend. This is the worst G'day Park we have stayed in. It is NOT the worst van park we have stayed in. It is certainly not the worst place we have camped. If this is your only option, just lower your expectations and you'll be fine.

The concrete slab we parked our caravan next to, was cracked & uneven, presenting a safety hazard for the step we use to assist with entry/exit of the van. There were floor & wall tiles missing from the shower cubicle, which would be a health hazard if not thoroughly cleaned daily, & I doubt the park staff do judging by the dusty cobwebs attached to a toilet door hinge. However, despite being on a main road, as we were parked out the back, it was a quiet site for the night we spent there.
