Awful Basic Room -meant to have Sea /Terrace View " as described on web site all room's have either!! "- Overlooked a noisy CAR PARK next to a camping site with lots of noise /music up to and after midnight. Hair found within the bedlinen. NO HOT WATER TO SHOWER. When advised to Reception the response was" NO ONE ELSE HAS COMPLAINED"!! No menus in English / No Vegetarian option. Do not understand how this Hotel obtained a 4* rating 3* at a stretch but more like 2* in my opinion. More importantly I believe an audit from a French Health and Safety Department need's to be conducted to ensure that covid requirements are being adhered to. During our visit COVID rules on 1 meter Social Distancing was NOT MONITORED OR ADHERED to in the Restaurant. I was "TERRIFIED" I was going to contact COVID. Buffet breakfast with at least 50 Guests breathing over and choosing from uncovered food/ handling the same serving utensils as everyone else without using disposable gloves etc --DISGUSTING . Our stay was booked for 3 nights DBB for a 70TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, No Food consumed at Dinner nor at Breakfast for the reasons stated. Checked out after 1 night's stay. We were charged 525 EURO 10 CENT for the worst experience ever encountered in a long history of staying in Hotels, as mentioned previously in 5 different Continents. The Duty manager was very professional and tried to resolve some of the issues by offering an upgrade with a sea view which we would be charged for! / an opportunity to discuss vegatarian options with the Kitchen/ to have our bed linen changed / or to dine in our room. We may as well have stayed at home where health and safety would have be adhered to and where there would have been atmosphere. After careful consideration on what was offered we decided to check out as we believed the lack of Health and Safety in the Dining room/coupled with the external noise /no guarantee of Hot water being available etc was not part of what we expected for the Birthday Celebrations. On checking out the Duty Manager advised that we needed to contact booking .com requesting a refund as this was not possible at the Hotel!! / After contacting *********** to advise of the numerous issues/ a Birthday Celebration ruined /not to mention checking out after 1 night of 3 and concerns about our Health and Safety we were advised that the HOTEL Refused a refund!!!! Now feeling very confused Hotel stating a *********** issue and *********** stating a Hotel issue. on what was meant to be a romantic 70th Birthday Celebration turned out to be a disaster. HOTEL IN REALITY NOT AS DESCRIBED ON WEB SITE NOR ON THE *********** WEB SITE. I am a genius member of BOOKING .COM if that's how I am going to be treated --what more can I SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
