A good location across Devonport Ferry terminal, with a view of the Spirit of Tasmanià. Suitable for backpackers. Complete with Aminities. Friendly receptionist. Ample parking.

トランジット目的の１拍だったので、寝られれば十分と思って予約したが、知らない人との２人部屋はなかなかキツかった。けど、ホテル自体はまあまあ悪くないと思う。

非常好 乾淨 共享廚房大家一起做飯很熱鬧 房間不大 但是乾乾淨淨的 稍微走遠點有coles大超市推薦去那邊 很好

Comfortable bunk beds. Kitchen sink was full of dirty dishes all of the 4 days we stayed. Our room had dirty clothes in the cupboard, as well as a bag with rotten fishing stuff (bait?) No light in our room, but the friendly staff immediately changed the bulb. Clean towels every day, and free parking. Central location with the best view of the harbor. The balcony in front is the place where people can smoke. The floor in our room was dirty, and there was a book,a sock and a plastic cover under the bed. Our room, no. 10, was right outside a very noisy ventilator. The fire escape was blocked by laundry racks. We have stayed in hostels for nearly 4 months, and this is the dirtiest we have seen.

My wife and I were heading to Devonport and needed something on short notice. Fortunately this did the trick. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were very much appreciated. And whilst the room was located above a bar, the noise was never an issue. Also of note is the location which was close to the CBD and provide a front row seat to see the colossal ferries come in. Very nice place indeed!

Confusing check-in process.
The Formby itself looks lovely and I got great service from them, but at the Alexandra (where I actually stayed) staff were gruffly blunt, bordering on uncaring. A suggestion may be to advertise the Alexandra as specifically a boarding-house, and the Formby as a short-stay hotel.

Friendly staff who assisted me to check in without hassles. Location is great with shopping district nearby. Communal areas are reasonably clean. Good value for money.
