We had a pleasant stay at Westin, Desaru. Room was spacious and clean, and we had a nice sea view. Breakfast spread was amazing, but do come early to get a good seat. We also cycled to the beach and went for a yoga class and had high tea. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break in Westin, Desaru! Big thank you to reception staff, Azam, for being so friendly and making our stay so much better.

Hotel room is clear. Staff are very friendly. Their service is very good too. the kids had fun in the kids club and beach. The bed are very comfortable too.

It's my 3rd stay with Westin. It was a perfect stay.
I really loved how seamless it was throughout the whole process from check in (car parking is great now without the need for validation), room was upgraded which was such a lovely gesture, the breakfast was superb as usual (the variety was one of the best ive encountered in all my travels), even the special amenities kit for my kid was so nice to have. The kids play areas such as the small reception slide, kids club, level 6 games area was a nice touch to keep the kids entertained. Just a suggestion that maybe a swing would be nice to have.
If there's only one downside was the weather was really hot for dining outdoor at breakfast areas, and would be cooler if the air con worked as I saw them repairing it, but it was no issue as we moved our seat indoors.
I did stay at Anantara Desaru once before and it didn't have the same family friendly and welcoming feel that I felt at Westin Desaru. I would definitely stay again at westin.

It was great stay. Nearby with easy beach access. Breakfast buffet was alright; plenty of options.

Very relaxing stay! All the staff were very friendly and helpful! Supper in bed was also a pleasant experience as food was delivered warm and delicious. Definitely will come back if I am ever craving a staycay.

Everything was good except one and only thing. The bed mattress is too soft! Couldnt get a good sleep and our back hurt! Hope the hotel would change to better quality mattresses since it being a 5star hotel and all. We are Marriot members and all these while we have never accountered discomfort in any affiliated Marriot hotels.

The room hardware are well maintained. The heavenly bed is u**ost comfortable and the bath tub is awesome !
There’s some renovation on going to built a new pool and restaurant. We stayed at level 2 same floor as lobby but didn’t really hear any renovation noise
Service is great !! Superb fast response and we felt a very warm welcome from each and every staff from Westin desaru.
Breakfast is great with lots of choice and good taste
Need to cross a small road to the beach but it’s seamless

Had a wonderful stay here, room was clean, staff was polite and helpful and has access to the beach which has an amazing view of the sunrise. Breakfast spread is amazing, good variety and tasty. All in all, a wonderful break! Will be back here again.
