Bed & Breakfast on Broadway

Our stay was perfect! We had three beautiful rooms for the six of us. Before strolling downtown, we enjoyed the cheese, crackers and wine our hosts had prepared for us in the lovely sitting room. I had requested a birthday cake for our group. A lovely and delicious chocolate tort and birthday card were waiting in the dining room for us. The breakfasts were fresh, healthy and so tasty and filling. Every room had a unique feature that we enjoyed:the jetted tub, the balcony, the cozy bedding and charming antique photos. The location allowed us to explore the downtown easily. I scored big points by finding this amazing Bed and Breakfast on Broadway in Decorah, Iowa.

Love this property and the lovely owners. The home is beautiful with the perfect set up for a B&B. The main floor has an open space with a piano and sitting room to use. Upstairs are completely seperate rooms each with a locking door and own bathroom. We felt very comfortable, there was very little noise and the temp was just right. The bedding was so soft and comfortable. Highly recommend!

B&B on Broadway was the perfect location for our family reunion! Melissa & Matthew keep this historic home in top notch shape with all the modern comforts. Excellent amenities - very comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, kitchenette facility with refrigerator, Wi-Fi, TV and bathroom in every room, cozy front piano room and parlor and a SPACIOUS loft which is the perfect place to gather with your entire party. Home cooked breakfast with coffee in the morning and the 5pm wine & cheese each night make you feel right at home on top of Melissa & Matthew’s welcoming hospitality. It’s also very quiet and peaceful and within walking distance to so many restaurants and shops in lovely downtown Decorah. We highly recommend B&B on Broadway!

The home is appointed well with lovely antiques. The beds were not made nor the bathrooms refreshed. Bring your own shower gel and hair products. The breakfast was fair. Food allergies were not taken into consideration. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately the owners didn’t say hello to the guests

1. Visit Decorah, Iowa - it's better than any website sells it. 2. Stay at this bed and breakfast. The hosts are very nice, but they give you your privacy. Before visiting here, I will admit that we didn't do much research. We Googled it, found it charming, and decided we needed a reading nook (two avid readers). We were delighted when we got there, and we had a whole floor of the house to ourselves. There are quite a few stairs if that is a concern for you. The room is HUGE with a great use of space. There is a kitchen area with a table, a bathroom, a bath tub, a living room, a reading nook, and a sleeping area. We weren't super excited about the rain and thunderstorms until they lighted up the evening sky; it was a spectacle! We also loved the front porch area which has comfy chairs and a great view of several churches. The hosts were overly accommodating with breakfast, and they even helped us out when we had a bit of a rental car crisis. This place is so amazing that I can't wait to go back and take my daughter next time.

The B and B on Broadway is an absolute gem. We stayed in June for a girls trip and booked the Inspiration Suite. It is stunning and spacious. The turret houses a reading nook and we spent a lot of time relaxing there. The suite is beautifully appointed with a king bed and two twin beds. The spacious living area and kitchen are a great place to unwind and there is both a steam shower and jetted bathtub. The location is perfect and is a short walk to the downtown area. The front porch is another wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the property. Melissa and her husband are excellent hosts. They are welcoming and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We had a mechanical issue with our rental car and Melissa gave us a recommendation to mechanic who was super helpful. They were very kind to let us stay on our check out day, while we waited for a tow truck and tried to figure out alternate transportation. There hospitality is unmatched. If you go to Decorah, do yourself a favor and stay here. It was the highlight of our Midwestern road trip.

We enjoyed a very pleasant long weekend at B&B on Broadway in Decorah. Melissa and her husband provided a warm and cozy environment with lovely rooms and delicious food and it’s central location made Decorah very walkable. Highly recommended as a peaceful retreat.

This B&B is in remarkable condition. The woodwork & detail are wonderful inside & out. The location is very good, easy walk to shopping, restaurants, & museum. The freshly made breakfast was a great start to our days. Free on street parking in quiet neighborhood. The front porch as outdoor seating available. Walking through the neighborhood, you will encounter people on their porches enjoying the outdoors & welcoming you to the area with a wave & a hello.
