The man working the front desk was rude and not helpful at all he laughed at me when I asked a question not satisfied at all

I was a little weary about this place based on some reviews and overall outside look of the place. I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and nice the inside was. They were doing some remodel so there was some stuff that was actively being worked on but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Michelle at the front desk was GREAT. She was there every time I went in and out and always had a smile and was so nice. The bathtub faucet did have a leak but I couldn’t hear it outside of the bathroom. Overall, GREAT value for for your money.

This hotel is getting a major updating/facelift. My room is beautiful - new bathroom sink/counter/mirror, lights (USB ports by the bed), updated bedding. It's clean and fresh. (I would recommend replacing the shouwer/bath faucet handle, escutcheon, drain and diverter in the bathtub though). The front desk manager was very sociable and explained the construction and updates. Very affordable stay too!

I arrived at the inn, after having spent 13 hours on the road, a much longer time than anticipated due to snow. I was really looking forward to a soak in the hot tub or a swim in the pool..listed as amenities in the advertising. Both were being renovated and were not open. They had a major roof leak that they were working on and had a pipe burst that had been repaired but I was warned to run the water for awhile to get the black residue out. I checked in and went up to my room only to find it freezing and the heater didn’t work. I called down to the front desk and the young lady who checked me in immediately responded. She tried the heater and gave me the key to a new room which she had already checked out to make sure things were working. She was so kind, I was exhausted, so I stayed the night. I stay in Davenport at least four times a year as I travel between Colorado and Michigan. I have stayed at many different facilities and have been happy. I thought I would try Baymont Inn, and figured the renovations must be mostly completed based on previous reviews and the advertising . I was very disappointed. The nice young lady at check in was the only positive thing about the stay.

Under construction and it’s a mess!! Had to change rooms because of a broken shower head. Pain once settled in and had to move. Breakfast is a joke. Nitro grain bars, apples, coffee to go. Set up on a table in hallway.

I am sure this will be a nice property when construction is complete, but we got no warning of “under refurbishment. Room seemed new, very clean, but no a/c & no window screens (too warm to sleep). Also advertised breakfast- but w/construction…. Sad. Future bright though!

This property is under renovation and the entire lobby and first floor demolished to the floor with workers operating cements saws, dust flying, doors wide open and dining area unusable. Pool, workout room closed. We arrived at 6:00 and worried if the construction would go on through the night, but it quieted down. We returned from dinner about 8:30 and all was quiet. The room was clean and updated. Starchy Grab and Go breakfast the next day, but not the typical hot breakfast. Also the parking lot was not well lit and the grounds unkept.

The hotel's ground floor is bing remodeled but at least they have an elevator! The beverage machines would not take my money but the front desk girl gave me a water for free & they let me put my ice packs in the dining room freezer as no freezer in room refrigerator.

There is a lot of construction going on throughout the building. We were in a newly painted and somewhat updated room. The door was broke from the hinges, which my hubby temporarily fixed. They are dog friendly, which was great. Very affordable, which I think was a result of all the renovation going on. Pool was closed.
