Lucy’s Place is a charming hilltop beach house with a most amazing panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea. From this house you are sure to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in the afternoon, charming view of the sail boats that anchor in the Santa Martha bay, and unhindered view of beautiful hills of Santa Martha that surround the bay. From which ever angle you look, a beautiful view is guaranteed. Be prepared! Because once you are here, you will never want to leave! You can cook delicious meals in the palapa or swim in your own private pool. The bungalow is 100% air-conditioned LOCATION This cozy waterfront retreat is located at Santa Martha, on the southwestern side of the island. It is located right at the main gate of the old Sunset Waters Beach Resort. The hotel has been closed for some time but the guests have the right to use the magnificent stretch of pristine white sand beach. It offers easy access to Curacao's premier diving sites, including the one and only Mushroom Forest and spectacular snorkeling and scuba in the lagoon. The drive from the airport to Lucy’s Place is approximately 25 minutes. The nearest supermarket to Lucy’s Place is approximately 20 minutes drive away. Otrobanda and Punda (Curacao’s historic town center) are located approximately 35 minutes away. Within 15 minutes drive is Christofel Park, a protected wildlife preserve and garden covering 4,500 acres of land. It features great hiking, mountain biking, car tours and nature walks. This location can be best described as serene and secluded. It’s best suited for people who enjoy a quiet and laid back atmosphere. It’s ideal for example for couples seeking a romantic retreat, people who need a quite place for inspiration and privacy (such as writers), and divers who want to be close to Curacao’s best diving spots, accessible by boat or from shore. THE HOUSE The fenced garden (approximately 15000 sq ft.) is rocky with indigenous fauna, cacti and beautiful bougainvilleas. Lucy’s Place can sleep up to 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms, an open living/dining and kitchen, a large covered palapa (over 1,000 sq. feet) that is larger than the house itself with BBQ facility, an overhanging back terrace with a most spectacular panoramic view, and a private side terrace right next to the second bedroom, where full privacy is guaranteed! The total area of the house is 968 square ft. Features of the house include: o Two bedrooms with build-in closets o A queen size bed in each bedroom o Two en-suite bathrooms with shower o Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room o Central AC throughout the house o Direct line telephone (pre-paid system) o A flat screen TV in living room with cable and DVD o Open kitchen with refrigerator, 2 pit electrical cook top, conventional oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc. o Laundry room with washer and dryer ADDITIONAL INFORMATION HOUSEHOLD ITEMS Toilet paper, soaps and garbage bags will be placed in the house prior to your arrival. Other articles such as detergent, washing powder, paper towels, matchboxes, herbs, cooking oil, insecticide, etc. are also provided. These are for the account of guests. ARRIVAL To the guests who will rent a car (highly advised at this location), driving instruction will be provided on how get to the house from the airport. Guests who do not need a car can request taxi transfer service. Cost of transfer from the airport to this location is US$40 for trips before 10:00 p.m. Between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. a 25% surcharge will be added. Upon arrival at the house you will be met by the property managers who will check you in and hand over keys. They will be your contact person during your stay at Lucy’s Place. What a VIEW! What a view! The outdoor space with the pool and the grill was awesome! We ate in a lot of meals in underneath the palapa. The Centrum supermarket had everything we needed for our two week stay. Our host was awesome! He met us and went over the house and gave us helpful hints. Then we saw him when we checked out. We did not need him for anything else, but he was available if needed.We love the remote location, but we ventured out every day to explore the island. A different beach every day and then back to this awesome house. Pure relaxation…

What a View! As others have said, this VRBO offers the best view on Curaçao. It is absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t wait to enjoy the deck early morning and evening, appreciating the warm, lovely breeze. During the day when the deck was too warm, we moved to the Palapa, and enjoyed the breeze and the pool. We found the best snorkeling on the island at the beach just down the road. Best grocery shopping was at Centrum on outskirts of Williamstad. The host’s local representative was responsive to our needs. In short, just a wonderful stay.

Smiling in Soto Overall our stay was great. the pool was small but fine for the two of us. down side, hot water was lacking, grill didn't work, washer was a changle, trash was best keep out on the deck to advoid fruit flys and don't feed the iguanas from your hand. Upside, the view was fantastic, the sitting area under the outside roof was amazing. Walking to the beach was too long, take your car! A quite and relaxing home.
