Friendly staff, generally clean lobby and room. The room's furniture was more unique and practical than most "classic" types of hotel room furniture, in that there was plenty of convenient lighting, built-in coat racks, a comfy reading chair with a nice light, and a large shelf space under the wall-mounted TV for my suitcase and bag. The bathroom was clean, albeit with some noticeable wear-and-tear. Having the TVs wall-mounted did have a drawback in that I could too easily hear the neighbor's TV through the wall where my head would be resting on the pillow (luckily, I sleep with noise-blocking earbuds, so that was moot for me). The out-of-place looking cheap neon green desk chair was heavily stained, and there was a tiny bit of old food ground into the carpet. Everything was great beyond that, though. Unfortunately, I had to leave very early to catch my flight, so I wasn't able to take advantage of the free breakfast. The hotel is decently close to Newport on the Levee, though not comfortably within walking distance (I'd have tried using the Red Bike system if it hadn't been down for maintenance). All in all, it was a much more pleasant stay compared to the crummy Quality Inn near the airport where I stayed the night after arriving at CVG earlier in the week.
