Deluxe room is nice, bed was comfortable and temperature was easy to control. But feels like the refurbishment is just papering over the cracks, bathroom definitely needs updating and common areas are dated. WiFi is almost non existent in the hotel. Food was nice enough the first night but our dinner order was mixed up the second night, waited 40 mins for starters and had to ask for an update, then only one starter came out along with the 2 mains, which were also wrong and not what was ordered. Complained to the young waitress who was somewhat apologetic but didn’t forward to any manager, no one came to speak to us. Overall the hotel feels a little grubby and needs updating. Ok for food or drinks at the weekend if you’re from the area but I wouldn’t stay here again I’m afraid.

Overall, our stay was pleasant, but there were some areas where the hotel fell short of our expectations, especially considering the package price. Restaurant Availability: Upon check-in, we were informed that the restaurant might or might not be open, despite our package including dinner. We expected a spa package with dinner to be served in a proper restaurant setting, not a pub. However, I must commend the exceptional food quality and the attentive staff in the pub. Room Issues: We settled into a deluxe room with a jacuzzi, which initially seemed promising. Unfortunately, we discovered that the jacuzzi was broken. The staff promptly moved us to another room with a functional jacuzzi, which we appreciated. However, the overall standard was compromised when I found a grubby, tan-stained dressing gown and had to clean someone else’s hair from the drain before using the bath. Hygiene and Cleanliness: On the second day, we ran a bath again, only to find brown water from taps and gunk coming up from the drain. We had to empty and clean the bath before running the water to get clean water. Additionally, the room cleaning on the second day was subpar. Lockers remained uncleaned, glass rings from the previous night were still visible, and the sink counter & bath were not cleaned or new toiletries provided. Spa Facilities: During our last day, we visited the relaxation room as part of our spa package. Unfortunately, the steam room was out of order, leaving only the sauna operational.

Stayed 2 nights with my Mam and sister. Had afternoon tea which was awful. There are flies flying around a lot but in fairness they are everywhere in the town of Cootehill. Booked a 12 o clock slot in spa for 2 people we had to wait an hour for each other as there was only therapist which wasn’t relayed at booking. The staff are all great the beds are good. Breakfast was limited. No pastries, muffins, scones. Just fried food and toast. Porridge made with water.

Out of the way location offering the true rural Ireland experience. Food quality was good and meals served at the table, which was nice. There is only 29 rooms, I think, in the hotel so it’s never particularly busy. Our allocated room lowered our enjoyment as it was over the bin and delivery area and there was constant jet of steam/smoke coming from a pipe, towards our window. Also there was no water in the room and given the time of year perhaps the hotel should review this. There was no safe and no fridge and these are fairly basic things in most hotel rooms, where we stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. Seamus & Nenette

Staff were helpful, beds very comfortable and breakfast was very tasty. However the bedroom needed some work and a thorough cleaning. - one wardrobe handle was missing - bathroom sink damaged - soap holder hanging off wall in shower - Bathroom door frame damaged -Dust and cobwebs on surfaces and walls

We celebrated our wedding in the errigal hotel and honestly it was just the best day. The hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us, the food was beautiful and everyone that stayed complimented the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel for any occasion

The rooms are absolutely beautiful we had a deluxe room and we couldn’t fault it. The rest of the hotel however needs a bit of tlc. The food in the bar was ok very bland and expensive for what you got, the breakfast was nice but the family of flies that pestered you throughout wasn’t. Staff are thin on the ground also. The spa was good the girl doing the treatments but the thermal spa part of it made me feel like I was in a Chinese takeaway.

Stopped on our trip to grab some Sunday roast and we're not disappointed! Brilliant service, even when it was quite busy and food well worth the money. From chicken wings for starters, tender beef to good wine selection, first class. All staff from front desk to waiters, bar manager and even the owner, who was helping, first class. Wish, we were in the area more often
