Parkside Motel by OYO Meadville Conneaut Lake

The room was NOT clean, sheets were dirty, as well as sheets. Heater didn't work, flies in the room, I paided for a studio king bed, when I arrived I was informed room was not available any longer. I was provided a two twin bed. I asked for a refund, which I was decline, I have to contacted ******* the same way I booked and paided. In addition, no one available at front desk. you had to call a number and then someone will come at front. Very very disappointed

Traveled late at night. Paid 500.00 on my credit card for 22nd December tru December 28. Spent 2 hours looking for pet friendly hotel. After traveling til 11:30 at night to get to my paid for room. I WAS TOLD NO CAT!. .the older woman running hotel was rude and told me to go elsware with my cat. I am a 59 year old single woman who spent my birthday..December 23 sleeing in my car at a truck stop in the middle of snowstorm.. not a very pleasurable experience. Would not recommend. False advertisment..

I had booked a room on September 11th for the pumpkin fest October 10-12th. I had booked a delux room with 1 king size bed. When we had arrived, the lady out us in a room that had 2 small double beds. When I had asked why this had happened she told me without knowing that I booked the room the ppl had booked that room the following week. I had begun to tell and show her my receipt from when I booked a month ago. All I was told was to talk to another guy when he woke up. We never seen the guy the rest of our stay. I will be calling and speaking with someone Monday morning as I did not get the room I payed for/booked. I'm hoping when I call and actually speak to someone who may have known I booked that they can either reimburse me or maybe a book me stay for next year's pumpkin fest for the room I payed for. It was just so convenient for us and everywhere we needed to go or be was very close to the motel.it wasn't super clean but I always take my own cleaning supplies and clean before we get settled in. The housekeeper was very friendly and attentive while we stayed and always made sure she asked if we needed anything.

If you need a receipt or invoice, do not stay here. After the experience with ONYO, I would avoid any of their properties. After a couple calls, they started looping me. I never did receive a receipt. The hotel is old but mostly clean. The rooms smell of smoke and may still be smoking. The outdoor pool is nice. The refridgerator works. Shower had hot water and good pressure. If I had been able to et a receipt from the owner of NYO, I would give them a 3. There is no internet. The bed was comfortable and the property quiet. The person showing your room was also very nice.

My husband and I went to an event at the Tiki Bar last night (great venue) and decided we didn't want to drive the 40 minutes home later after drinking, so we booked a hotel nearby. There aren't many choices, but we settled on the Parkside Motel and decided to take a chance despite some of the negative reviews. I wasn't expecting the Taj Mahal by any means, but I was at least expecting clean. Sadly, that was not our experience. Several negative things to report: 1. I booked through OYO for the rate of $73.26 which I thought was reasonable for the type of place it is - a VERY dated, seedy-looking motel. The guy behind the desk was quick to point out how cheap that rate was and that they apparently didn't have any control over what OYO charges (sorry, but not my problem, and why work with them if you feel you're getting ripped off?). I gave him my credit card to pay for the room and he said it was declined. That's odd because I had just gotten paid yesterday and knew I had money in my account. I gave him a second card and he said the charge went through. Fast forward to being at the Tiki later and checking my original bank card to see what happened, and lo and behold, there's a pending charge from the Parkside Motel. They charged me two times to two different cards. That's fraudulent at best, and if I don't get a refund, I WILL attempt to see if there's anything I can do to report their fraudulent practices. 2. I attempted to speak to the owner, Kay Kumar, about getting a refund and she informed me that it would have to wait until Monday because she won't be in until then. Totally unacceptable. She was extremely rude and kept cutting me off while trying to speak on the phone. Finally, she said I'd need to speak with OYO about a refund, that she couldn't give one. 3. I called OYO customer service. I pressed option 2 to make a complaint about an issue, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, then the call just dropped. I repeated this process THREE MORE TIMES. Finally, I called back and pressed option 1 to BOOK a room, and what a surprise! I got an actual live person. Unfortunately, that person routed me back to the original menu and I went through the process again of waiting and having the call dropped. Finally, I called again and chose option 1 and spoke with Akshay, who, although, I could barely understand, was kind enough to provide me with an address I could send screenshots of my bank cards to so I could dispute the double charge and get a refund. u s a dot escalations at oyorooms dot c o m. 4. The WORST part about this is that when we returned later in the evening to the room (side note - I had to ask the front desk guy to write the room number on the key with a sharpie so I could remember what room number we were in later - it was a big old plastic blue grimy key like the ones you see hanging behind a gross, sweaty guy with a comb-over and Hawaiian shirt in the movies), we had to leave and drive back home anyway. I went to settle in and turn on

Convenient motel Nice small motel. Needs updated but staff was fantastic. Will go back

The manager on site was very nice when we needed something he provided it immediately. He was the best part of our stay. There was a coffeemaker in room but no coffee, fortunately we had brought our own. The heating system it was either 100 in the room or freezing no in between. We never saw housekeeping (our stay was four days). The parking lot was a total sheet of ice. We weren’t expecting five star service but I think the hotel could put in a little more effort. If I were to return to this area I would not stay there again.

My family stays here a few times every summer!! We love it!!

Mary the office mgr/ housekeeper was so helpful and friendly. The pool was great. The room was clean.
