Albergo le Due Corti

Hotelkamer was als een berging op zolder. De kamer was echt op de bovenste verdieping, met schuine plafonds. Donker en allesbehalve schoon. Lakens en handdoeken waren tenminste schoon. In het bad lagen restjes van de vorige gasten, waaronder haren, scheerschuimresten, zand en gebruikte, uitgesmeerde doucheflessen. De vloer was ook niet schoon. Minimaal ingericht, tv ter grootte van een kleine laptop zonder zenders/kabel/kabel dus onbruikbaar. Airconditioning: oud, luidruchtig, niet regelbaar of uitgeschakeld. Onvoldoende blootstelling. Dit hotel, althans wat we ervan hebben gezien, is geenszins een 4-sterrenhotel. De bijna 200 CHF zijn niet gerechtvaardigd. De foto's die op de website van het hotel te zien zijn, zijn zeker gemaakt door een professionele fotograaf die echt geweldige foto's maakt. De realiteit is anders. Mogelijk zijn er mooiere kamers in het hotel, omdat er 2 vleugels zijn. Onze ervaring was echter erg slecht en ik raad dit hotel aan niemand aan. Het zwembad is extreem klein, veel oncomfortabele stoelen om op te zitten, maar slechts 4 ligstoelen. Goede locatie, direct naast de oude stad. Wat positief was: de receptionisten waren erg vriendelijk, maar vroegen aan het einde ook niet of we het leuk vonden. Mogelijk omdat ze het antwoord al wisten?!

Overall had a good experience and would recommend. The staff was super friendly and room was spacious and nice looking. Wifi wasn’t the best and that’s the only con.

Firstly the staff were excellent, the breakfast was very good. The hotel is tired and needs some investment. My room had damp through the wall to the side of the bed from the bathroom shower, not acceptable. For just one night the room was ok, nice to have tea facilities in the room. The shower gel and soap were just enough for a small child not an adult. Take your own.

Very disappointing hotel. Room was lit by three lamps which did not provide sufficient light and it was difficult to read in the room. The lamps took most of the plugs. One plug was broken so little ability to charge phones etc. Bath was not cleaned by maids after we had used it. It was a spa bath and the chrome covers on the jets fell off exposing grubby plastic underneath. Breakfast was poor. Not enough tables laid up. Staff were slow to do this and bring hot drinks. Supplies ran out and were not replaced without asking staff some of whom had a poor attitude. In a rather old fashioned way we had to leave our key with reception when we went out. If there was no one there we had to leave it in a tray where anyone could take it from which made us uneasy. There was a leak in the corridor leading to our room. Although a bucket was there it didn’t catch the water and there was a puddle on the floor all of our 4 night stay. In addition laundry was left propping open a door to the stairs for a couple of days.

Hotel is Nice, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is Good with a lot of choices. Early in The morning there was an alarm, personale was there to help us. The only thing is We do not know How to opdrage the aircondition😊 or Else everything is Ok.

Very helpful front desk staffs. Best location to old town of Como. Walkable but far from both main rail and boat stations.
