Hotel Vibra Palma Cactus

Life and love has left this building a long time ago. I arrived late with my 5 year old daughter due to a delayed flight. You are welcomed by a guard that look at you as you are a criminal. The host to check us in was simply someone from a very dark place. He did not show any empathy and kept on saying our reservation was not in the system. We haven’t ate so I asked whether we could have dinner. Arriving there we saw a buffet that looked like a waste belt. It’s not the people and also the guy behind the desk is probably just doing his job but the emptiness and lack of love is stunning. Maybe it’s because only drunk youngsters come here. At night you here everything from fights on the ally to all that you don’t want to hear. It’s so bad. It’s just a very sad and lifeless place.

This was my second time staying at Playa de Palma and I will be returning again as it is a favourite destination. Playa de Palma is one of the best resorts for a short break as such a beautiful location and so close to the airport. My daughter and I stayed here for three nights in August on a B&B basis. The hotel was basic but as we were only there for a short stay it met our expectations and I would consider staying there again. I did read some of the reviews prior to staying at this hotel and I did feel some were a little unfair. Firstly, Mallorca is a very popular destination for young party people but don’t let this put you off. They may make some noise when they come back from partying but many of us did this when we were young. Regarding the hotel, it does need some investment as looking a bit tired but other than that it ticked all the other boxes. Location was great, nice breakfast buffet, English speaking reception who were very polite and accommodating, room service and fresh towels daily, air con, baggage storage area and shower room if you have late flights. Beach is five mins away and you bus stops to Palma or airport are even closer. No shortage of supermarkets, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, etc…

Hotel was alright for the price, is a good place for 3 or 4 days, not sure I’d want to stay for longer than a week. Amazing location, near the beach but far enough away it’s quiet. Breakfast wasn’t as good as expected but so many cafes nearby that could be better. The pool was nice and the terrace is very quiet. Service was good at reception, staff very helpful with directions and local knowledge. Would visit again!

Hotel con buena ubicación, cerca de la playa y en zona tranquila y silenciosa. Aunque algunos huéspedes no respetan las horas descanso y ponen música y gritan hasta la madrugada y el personal del hotel no hace nada. El bufet de desayunos y cenas bueno pero escaso de variedad. En general bien pero mejorable.

Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Das Zustellbett sehr instabil. Lage zum Strand ist gut. Frühstück ist sehr gut. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Nos hospedamos por 6 días en la quinta planta, habitación 518. Mi marido, mi hijo de 6 años y yo. Nos encontramos con hormigas por todos lados y un olor a tuberías rotas que nos impactó. Esperamos al tercer día pensando que era algo puntual lo de el olor y decidimos comentarlo en recepción a primera hora, nos dicen que le pasaban la nota al de mantenimiento. Cuando llegamos por la tarde noche nos dicen que ya está solucionado ( cosa que nos extrañò porque ese olor es de rotura o de algo que no se arregla en una mañana) Cuando entramos a la habitación “más de lo mismo” OLOR A CLOACA. Decidimos no quejarnos más porque vimos que nos estaban tomando el pelo, ya que preguntamos a otros huespedes cercanos y también se quejaban de lo mismo, malos olores y mil hormigas. Una inspección sanitaria no les vendría mal para que no sigan engañando a la gente. También oyes todo de la habitación contigua, conversaciones, cuando van al baño etc.. parece que las paredes son de papel. No hay tendedero para las toallas en el balcón y tuvimos que ingeniarnos para poder secar bañadores, toallas de playa y prendas que lavamos a mano. El bufet muy pobre, no hay platos ni cubiertos repuestos, las camareras no estan organizadas, las mesas sin vestir y no te ofrecen bebida ( se paga a aparte) tienes que levantarte tú a dar con las camareras y pedirsela. Nada atentas, simpáticas sí, pero de restauración saben bien poco, con todos mis respetos. Estamos muy decepcionados con el hotel. Volveremos a Mallorca pero no ahí ni a ningún hotel que pertenezca a la misma directiva. Espero que tomen nota para mejorar ya que es una pena que un hotel tan bien ubicado tenga estos problemas.
