Good: Very friendly staff, clean, walking distance to bahnhof and shops etc. Breakfast not too expensive, healthy and sustainable.
Room for improvement: small rooms with no fridge. Unable to connect tv with streaming service.

Staff are brilliant. Could not fault them! Great atmosphere in the bar, great location. Facilities are basic but ok. Had a great nights sleep despite our room being right next to the lifts. Only thing I would change is that the hand soap and shower gel in our room were half full which gave the impression that someone else had used them.

Had a terrible nights sleep. Awoken very early by delivery men. I didn't realise but our room on the 1st floor was over a the street that services the shops. Deliveries, bin collections.
Breakfast was a free-for-all. The hotel put up a sign advising tof the busiest times, but I wasn't expecting the chaos of breakfast time.

This centrally located Motel One provided us a good base for a couple of nights whilst visiting Cologne and the Rhine. Comfortable small rooms, and, as ever, a good bar to enjoy a nightcap at the end of the day.

I traveled to Cologne with three friends during Easter. We had a few issues with the remote control not working and using free breakfast vouchers so we called the hotel from our room but no one answered. We complained about this and the manager Matthias got back to us quickly apologising and correcting our issues. We officially did not meet the rules for the free breakfast but Matthias offered it anyway to make sure our stay was great. We met him later and he was very kind and a fun character. He definitely knows about good customer service! Thank you so much Mathias for helping us have a wonderful stay in Cologne!

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel. it was an option for keeping car at the parking. 2 nights costed me 38Euros (included discount of the hotel). Don't forget to ask it. booking of the hotel was, obviously, easy. check-in procedure didn't take much time. the hotel equipped with 4 lifts. it is a smart. Breakfast area was quite crowded each morning. the selection is ok, but I missed fried bacon with eggs. Room is small, nice and clean. Sound insulation is great. comfortable beds and airconditioning system is silent. Cologne is quite big and I am not sure that i may repeat my experience next time. Everything was quite good, but I didn't find the options which I definitely want to repeat.

Stayed at the Motel One Cologne Neumarkt to see friends in town, so central location was important. That is exactly what the Motel One offered. Just a few steps from the Neumarkt subway station or a 20-minute walk to the station. Close to bars and restaurants in the city. New hotel with friendly staff, great bar, and small yet modern & clean room / bathroom. My room faced the courtyard, so it made for a very quiet and restful night. A true Motel One experience where you get a good stay at a great price. Staff was friendly and helpful (to store luggage). A really good experience and happy to go back there for another stay. Downsides could be the size of the room (if you stay longer or have a lot of luggage) and also not sure if / where you could park a car.
