Excellent
GGuest UserIt was wonderful to have 6 EV charging stations at this motel. Even though it was only 7.3kW/hr, it is free and enough to make a huge difference on travel. I booked this location specifically for the EV charging feature. I used the J1772 charger.
The breakfast was standard continental breakfast and nice to have yogurt and fruit.
The only thing I would do differently is to request a top room floor. We were on the second floor and they do have high ceilings and large rooms, but the party above us was thumping on the floor, ie feet were running. We were in room 201 and I went up to 301 at 1030pm to talk to them. I told them we were getting ready for bed and it was pretty loud as they were right above our room. Although English clearly wasn't their first language, they said ”oh sorry!”. I thought it would start to get more quiet, but lasted until 12:30 am. Honestly, the rooms were dark with the shades closed and if they would have just turned out the lights, there would be absolutely no way anyone could be running around in the dark.
That was the only thing negative was the walls/ceilings might be a little thin, but I guess it depends on your neighbors and again, my request would have been a top floor to avoid this next time.
Beds were very comfortable, check in easy. And again.... Loved EV charging on site. Thank you!
GGuest UserThis was a great surprise. This hotel is new, located in a very popular area, with lots of good restaurants near by. The room is spacious, very clean. They offer a laundry room for guests which ended up great for us to do laundry as we went from one national park to another. Customer service was very friendly as we did the check in. WiFi was the best so far in our room. A great place to stay if you are in the area, or in between national parks.
Our room and the cleanliness of it along with how well it was stocked with supplies was excellent! We stayed in a two queen kitchenette room, which was very convenient. The reason I rate only is three is the breakfast was less than impressive. My children and I stay at a lot of hotels traveling for sports in the Washington and Surrounding area. Their breakfast was nowhere near the quality of the other places we have stayed for the same price. Very few options. The other reason for my rating is, I was woken up on Saturday morning at 8 AM from someone out in the parking lot **** whacking . I was very frustrated that it was my day off and I spent the day prior driving. We were all exhausted and woken way too early by the nuisance of a **** whacker. Although this is beyond the hotels control lowered my rating for the hotel in general . Otherwise, the pool was very warm. The hot tub was great. We had to ask each time we went down there for more towels. They were out every time they obliged immediately. Customer service in the hotel was excellent as well! The price that we received from booking online was great , also very affordable and competitive!
GGuest UserLet me start by saying I’m going into this review a little miffed. In my 40+ years of traveling, I’ve never had a hotel or motel tell me I can’t use my reward points. But in this case, I was told the points can only be used for “Standard Rooms” and all their standard rooms were booked. So I went ahead and paid for a … non-standard room???. Well, I got to my room and guess what - it was just a standard motel room. There was absolutely nothing special or deficient with this room. With that said and out of the way, here are the positive aspects of my stay. The facility is somewhat new and it was clean (the bleach smell hung heavy in the air). The staff was courteous, but not necessarily friendly. The bed was medium firm and there were plenty of pillows. The free breakfast was pretty good. Within 150 feet from the hotel there were two restaurant … the food at the Pho restaurant was really good. Now for some downsides … (1) for all you light sleepers, this was a noisy motel. Even though we were in a room on the backside of the motel facing an empty lot, we could still hear the nearby traffic noise. Additionally, we could hear guests talking in their room and hallway. We could also hear the footsteps from the floor above us. (2) this motel is located in a not so nice location of Tacoma … they even lock the front lobby doors after certain hours, so you need to use your room key card to enter the lobby and to operate the elevator. Connected to the noise issue … I did hear a couple of gun shots at about 3 AM.
SShu KWe spent the night because we were visiting the University of Puget Sound, and it was a convenient location. The room fit our needs, but I don’t think I could stay for more than one night. It’s really basic here - including their restaurant. Dinner menu was the typical pizza and stuff, and breakfast was stuff that they thawed out and heated. One easy thing they could do is require a dress code at their restaurant, because frankly restaurant employees wearing T-shirts just doesn’t seem professional. The room itself was ok - bed, basic flat screen TV, small but functioning bathroom with a shower curtain. The shower water seeped to the bathroom floor with water, but easy enough to wipe up… Just not excited about this place.
KkitsuanddateWe stayed in the Cottage just 1.5 miles from the main motel. It was a delightful cabin! Immaculate and well equipped, comfortable bed and a cozy fireplace. The privacy was the best part, well, except when the 15+ elk greeted us steps from the porch one morning! :-) The location is great, close to Mt Rainier entrance. Don't miss the hot tub-it's the perfect private spot to relax. (There's also a huge fire pit with seating by the Grill) Got a pizza from there and it was very good. Friendly and efficient staff made check-in & out easy. Tasty latte in the office, thanks Raven. Special thanks to Jennifer, she went the extra mile on more than one thing for us.
The pictures make it look much better than it actually is. I know that Days Inn is not a high caliber property regardless of where you go but I have stayed at more than a dozen Days Inn properties as well as hundreds of nights at other Wyndham properties. This motel though was the worst experience we've had. It started with the check-in counter being so high and the woman working behind the desk. I couldn't see her or understand what she was asking me to do. We had to sign a form stating they would charge us for all damage in the room and if we found damage we were to report it first so they didn't charge us. Our room was dirty. The floor under the desk had dirt and garbage in it, and the bathroom had built up scum and stains on the tub. Our ceiling had a giant hole cut in it with an access panel that didn't cover it. The bathroom door had a hole kicked in it and the towel bar was falling off the wall. The bed was uncomfortable, the blankets VERY thin and only 3 pillows which is odd for a King Size. The towels were stained and we had to ask for more towels as we stayed for 3 days. The booking site said they do housekeeping every day and our room was never cleaned, and when we asked for more towels they insisted we bring the dirty ones down before they would give us new ones. And they don't even give you hand soap. We had to ask for it and they said they only have body wash (which also wasn't in the room). Every day when we came back our key card didn't work. There was no breakfast as advertised. The pictures make it look like a buffet but the only thing in the closet they call a breakfast room was stale sugar filled danishes and Kirkland chocolate chip granola bars. This hotel is not even worth the price they're offering it for. I will never stay here again
不不帅不丑刚刚好Free parking Free parking Free parking, the room is very good, not far from the highway junction, there is a steakhouse in Australia nearby, super delicious!
AAnonymous UserThere is a king bed in Shanghai, the hotel environment is very quiet, the pool is not able to swim the water is particularly dirty, probably because it is cold in June and has not been open. It's good to sleep here and can't hear the sound of the plane. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Because the base of the kettle is lost, I don't know if I can boil water, but hot water can also be provided here, hygiene is generally OK, but the price is OK.
