Review Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte
When we think of Japanese hotels, we think of Ryokan, but another type that may not be thought of as often is 'European-style guesthouses'. I happened to be visiting Zao Onsen, so I looked for a place to stay in this area. I think it was during the Chinese New Year, so it turned out that everything was full, so I ended up staying here.
Petit Resort Hotel Der Barte is a European-style guesthouse, not a guest house. It's more like a Ryokan, but in a more European style. The advantage is that it's right next to the Zao Skii Resort ski slopes. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is nice. We can play ski right away (but if you want to take the cable car up, you have to pay the normal price). It's perfect for those who want to play ski. The disadvantage is that it's on the opposite side of the Zao Ropeway, and there are no Lawson, Family Mart, or 711 stores. So when you enter, it's like you're cut off from the outside. There's nowhere else to go, apart from Zao Skii Resort.
Overall, the accommodation is good, suitable for relaxation, but not very suitable for socializing. The food in the hotel is mostly alcohol and beer, but there aren't many snacks.
It was a reservation to see the word of mouth,
as you said, i'll give you a very good evaluation.
by chance, i and the landlady, my mother and the landlady's mother are the same age
I was more than happy.
i was able to wash it and i was saved without sweaty luggage.
the food is also handmade by the lady general, and i'm full.
I also listened to how to make ”Imoni”.
if you have another chance, i'll be indebted to you.
i recommend it to my friends.

There should be some, there is a supermarket opposite is very convenient, the service is good, the room is hygienic, it is snowing to walk 200 meters in the open air, it will be tired to carry luggage, and there is less need to go to the station to eat in the west.
With a stay at Takasagoya Ryokan in Yamagata (Zaoonsen), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Zao Hot Springs Ski Resort and Zao Quasi-National Park. This ryokan is 0.3 mi (0.4 km) from Zao Chuo Ropeway and 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Zao Sanroku Ropeway.

Full breakfasts are available daily from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include luggage storage, refrigerator in a common area, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Stay in one of 8 guestrooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms feature showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Conveniences include a turndown service, and housekeeping is provided daily.
You can take a taxi (5-6 minutes, 630-850 yen) to the entrance of Kaminodai before 18:00. You can leisurely watch the snow slopes and have breakfast every morning. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the No. 4 cable car and 15 minutes to hike up and down the mountain. -20 minutes. The bosses are kind. Only the shared bathroom is too small for only four people.
It's close to the ski resort. Unfortunately, the road to the ski resort is a steep mountain road, about 200 meters away. It's hard to carry your skis up and down the mountain.
The river near you at night. The sound of flowing water is so loud, it almost feels like nature.
The hotel has a bit of history, the room for 4 people has just enough space, and the toilet is on the small side.
There are table tennis, table tennis and football machines in the lobby for entertainment
There are hot springs that are comfortable enough, and the outdoor hot spring scenery is great. Don’t have high expectations.
Staff are polite
Very cozy and clean but no shower in my booking room type. Good for a group of friends or family to stay.

GGuest UserExcellent stay in a nice clean single room on the 7th floor which also has an ice machine and vending machine and microwave on the same level. Other levels have coin operated laundry machines too.
Very conveniently connected to the Yamagata Shinkansen station!!
MMuse YueThe hotel staff uses a translator to communicate, so verbal communication is no problem, and the arrangements are also very detailed. Meal times and free private bath reservation times are clearly listed on the paper. The hotel has a shuttle bus to Zao Ropeway Station, and we went there first. We went to the hotel after visiting Bingshu Plateau. Due to the heavy snow and heavy luggage, the coffee shop staff called the hotel car to pick us up, which was very nice. It is a nationally certified natural hot spring. It has a large bathhouse and a private hot spring (guests can use it once for free). It is a great experience. It is beautiful to soak in the open-air hot spring and watch the falling snow. But the hot spring floor is slippery and my sister slipped and hit her, so be careful when walking.
GGuest UserIt is a hotel with quite a history, although there are ten steps before entering the hotel door, however if you take the shuttle then there should be staff to help you carry (I did not sit), checkout employees to help carry luggage, there Cars you go to the station, but actually walking past the station is not very far, to see the tree ice is not afraid of far, anyway, I walked slowly did not pay attention to the time, watching the snow soon. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and the service was good and the food was quite good. However the room will be a bit cold recommend going in winter to prepare some warm packs.
ZZhongbushenThe room is large, the breakfast is good, the hot spring is clean, and the welcome area is intimate. The ski drying room is on the left side of the gate. The ski information in the hotel is not full... It may still be mainly for bathing guests.
GGuest UserIt was so beautiful that I was surprised. When I opened the door, I was stunned. Isn't this the Japanese-style snow view room I have been looking forward to? ! ! The space is very large and clean. The bathroom and toilet are separated. The experience is great! I will go again. The hot spring is also great!
GGuest UserThe bathroom stinks, and the smell is still there after changing rooms, but it is slightly better... The water in the basin faucet for brushing teeth and washing face is too small, I am speechless... The public soup pool is relatively small, and the water in the soup pool is quite hot, but it is not suitable for flushing. The shower space is cold, and the shower water stops frequently. You have to press the faucet constantly when taking a shower! I was shivering from the cold after taking a shower! Food and service are okay!
HHoIn fact, the overall hotel is not bad, the staff is also nice, and if you are a skier, you will definitely like it. The only drawback is that there is no lift. We live on the second floor, so we have to carry our luggage up, which is a bit hard, but the hotel is not bad. Because we don’t have a car, we have to rely on shuttle buses to get in and out, and they are very helpful. The best thing is the hot spring. It’s really beautiful, but it’s so thin!
SsnowadaysThe room was clean and there was no smell around the water.
The breakfast had a good variety and taste, and I didn't mind it being crowded, so I was satisfied.
I was very grateful for the large public bath, and it is very attractive for business trips around Yamagata because it is close to the station.
However, during my five nights here, the mechanical parking lot broke down for almost the entire day, and I was unable to leave the car.
I rented a car, and I couldn't get to my work, so I had to take a taxi arranged by the hotel.
The taxi fare was covered, but the time was not flexible, so it was inconvenient.
Above all, I feel like I would have been stuck if I had planned to return the rental car or travel from Yamagata on that day, so I would like them to take measures such as partnering with the Times parking lot right in front of the hotel during the winter.
(According to the taxi driver, mechanical parking lot breakdowns also occur in other hotels during the winter when the temperature drops.)
GGuest UserVery satisfied, although the furnishings are a bit old, but it has a sense of age and is very clean.
The Japanese breakfast is especially good. It changes every day.
AAnonymous UserNot bad. It's best to ask them to pick you up because you have to climb a hill and it's very high. The dinner tastes good. The breakfast is average. The hot spring is on the underground floor. If you don't stay, you can go to a meeting room in the basement to change clothes and go skiing. You can also leave your luggage there.
