A friend and I shared a two bedroom apartment at the Sebel the last two nights while visiting Canberra. This is a new hotel about two years old, the main benefit is that it is close to all the main attractions you would want to visit while in Canberra. Also the option of being able to basically share a two bedroom apartment instead of staying in two standard hotel rooms made the trip feel more special. I would definitely stay here again on my next Canberra visit. Only thing missing is that it is predominantly a place to sleep, there is no restaurant or bar at the hotel. Having said this there are plenty of places to eat walking distance to short car rides away. Although we did not make use of it the kitchenette and the washing machine and dryer would come in very handy for longer stays. Also there are three big tv’s one in each bedroom as well as the living room. In case you do feel like some of your own time.

Pretty standard hotel, not good value for money in my opinion. The TV in my room was neither tuned in or connected to the internet, so a redundant piece of plastic. The check in was fine, but had to prompt for all useful information. The person seemed like they were new but checkin is pretty repeatable! Overall, it’s clean, ok location but overpriced.

We had a great days in CROWNE PLAZA in Canberra. The room was clean and tidy.The staff was friendly. Especially at breakfast in the morning,One of the staff, ARYAMAN,happy a kind and friendly staff,Especially his happy smile,Made us for a lot of happy mornings. We 4 adults shared a 2 bedroom suite on arrival we received a warm welcome from reception staff, . directed to our suite and give keys . This was our first stay at Meriton,we were delighted to enter a spacious light filled airy and very clean apartment, in our opinion our necessary comforts of home away from home. On our arrival and departure our first impression remained, 5 stars! to Yar and Alina at front desk cheers and Thanks, house keeping staff on presentation and cleaning of all items and furniture,Wow! You all set the standard for the hospitality industry

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location and is convenient for shopping. It is very close to the shopping mall, with many restaurants and supermarkets. In particular, it is not far from the hotel to take a walk to Griffin Lake, where you can take a leisurely walk to watch the sunrise and sunset.

I was unsure how my stay was going to be but it was excellent. I stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bed female dorm. You don't get keys or cards you instead download an app called Goki which you just use an email to login to and has all of the doors you need on it. The building is very secure, to enter later at night you need to have the app to unlock it. The room smelt very nice and there was a large window which let in a lot of light. We each got a locker with plugs in, and there was a desk with two chairs. The bunk beds were sturdy and didn't creak. Your bed had a pillow and a nice quilt along with all of the sheets you would need. The bathrooms were very clean and smelt very nice. The common areas were tidy and the laundry room was easy to access and use, as the payment for the machines was also on your phone. The accommodation was right next door to the Canberra centre with many restaurants and shops as well as a five minute walk from the art gallery. For $50 a night it was definitely reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay longer next time!

Fantastic little rooms that are central to everything, great customer service, and the rooms are full of all the amenities that you would need. I would recommend it to everyone and certainly stay here again. Especially visiting during autumn is recommended as the city is so beautiful this time of year and with the views from the windows it make it so much better.

Upon arrival we were aware that no car parking was at the hotel, which is a little frustrating but workable. Dropped our bags off and went to park the car which was about a 10 walk at 9pm during winter, to say it was fresh understates it. Back at the hotel I went to check in and only 1 person on and surprisingly at that time it was very busy, so the wait time to get to the room was considerable. Having said that though the staff on were very pleasant and helped store the bags until we got back from parking the car. The room itself was nice and even though it was situated on a busy section of Canberra was nice and quiet. The room was well maintained and the bathroom was fine. Had no issues with check out. Possible things that maybe they could look at is Valet parking or similar as well as maybe working with a local food place to supply meals, just a thought.

From the moment we entered the lift to this hotel, we knew it was something else. The scent of the crisp, bright lobby was warm and inviting. We where greeted with the bubbliest staff, who were ready to accommodate our every need. From check in support, recommendations on eateries and general info on the area, they had every area covered. The rooms where stunning, warm, fresh and comfy. So many small smart elements that topped it off! The best nights sleep, in a dark and noise free room! This stunning hotel made us want to stay in all night and not fulfill our prior commitments. We can’t wait to be back here.
