The Fables was a fantastic hotel on a great location. Staff where helpful, rooms clean and well presented. Totally recommend staying.

This was my second time staying at this hote. and I had another enjoyable and relaxing stay here. The location is excellent, the staff are friendly and professional and provide excellent service; it's just little things like the cleaning staff saying hello etc that I really like. The room is great; I found the bed to be very comfortable, and it has all the amenities one needs; nespresso machine, an iron, nice toiletries offered, tea and coffee was good quality etc.
There's a good view of the central city from the window too.
So my overall experience was very good, and I would gladly recommend it and look forward to staying again.

I love this hotel and it location is excellent. it is facing to a street with lot of foods. We stay in the Chris**as time and there is a live band out there!!

The location is ok, close to lots of restaurants and sights, but the amenities are dated and needs some refurbishment, especially walls are so paper thin that you can hear your neighbors clearly.

Hotel is conveniently located in the city center and I was able to walk to the conference center. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The biggest problem though is the noise inside the ceiling that kept me awake both nights. It seems like it’s the ventilation system that makes this noise and unless you are using ear plugs you’ll be hearing it all night long. Also the hotel was full and people started banging doors from around 6am. So if you are after a good night sleep I recommend you stay somewhere else.

It was my first time to spent holiday in new Zealand. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel was near city centre so it was very convenient. I slept very well and I will stayed here again next time. Thanks.
