The room and the location are great - very central, clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and attentive. If you want to be right in the heart of Chongqing, this is the place.
Unfortunately they lose some marks for smokiness. The floor was non-smoking and there are signs in the bedroom telling you that you’ll be fined if you smoke indoors, but our bathroom stank of smoke for our whole stay. We assume another guest nearby was smoking in their bathroom and the smell came through the air vent, but it made our room very smelly. I think this is a bigger problem in Chongqing - people are smoking everywhere and the older guys don’t seem to be interested in respecting non smoking areas. Hardly the fault of the hotel, but it did make the room much less pleasant.

We had a great 3 nights stay at the hotel.
The location is wonderful, just a short walk to 洪崖洞, 解放碑 and 八一步行街, lots of eateries nearby, very convenient. The room is very clean, very spacious. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at Dekin Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei if we were to go back to Chongqing again.

Hotel decor is a bit dated, not as nice as other 5 star hotels. However I was greeted by the friendliest bellboy and he alone makes this place perfect! Plus the location is right in the middle of all the action without overwhelming sounds.
Bathtub is rather small but hotel room and bathroom are quite spacious and beds are very comfy.

The location was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful with check in and laundry services. The only issue is the cleaning staff should pay close attention when cleaning the rooms. There were fruit seeds on the floor from previous people who where there. Also the towels in the bathroom were changed but the bathtub wasn’t cleaned out.
Other than that I’d highly recommend this hotel.

I brought my wife to this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was kind enough to set up the room with flowers. I was grateful. However, the front desk staff lacked knowledge of the area and problem solving skills. Even after speaking they just said I don’t know. The pool was to strict and forced us to swimming caps for (hygiene) but locals just complained about us. The gym is so so and lacks equipment, and the food wasn’t good eithe.
