The facilities were good. The check in staff was excellant and very accommodating. Upon my return I discovered a 40.00 charge on my card. When I called to get a explanation of this I was placed on a lengthy hold then asked for my confirmation number which I had to look up as it was not readily available. When I returned to the call it was disconnected. Had to call back hold again then asked for last name not confirmation number. So a bit confused about that. Then told that the charge was 40.00 for parking, surprise surprise. I don't mind the fee, the surprise I do mind as well as the condescending, surly attitude from the person I spoke with. Think I'll choose some where else on my next trip to chicago.

Property close to UChicago n dining.
Sheets were itchy, smelled like the sheets had been laundered with a little too much bleach

Parking was very inconvenient. You have to check in first, but to find that out you have to first park on the street, which has limited parking, and go inside. Once you have checked in and paid for parking, you can move your car around the block to the garage. The garage itself seemed pretty secure, since you need a card to get in and out, but the hotel should let you know in advance that you will have to check in and have several clearly-reserved spaces for you to park when you are checking in.
The room looked fine, but I found the bed and pillow uncomfortable. There was no bag in the trash can. The bathroom faucet did not stay where you turned it, so it was hard to know what the current setting was. I couldn't find any vending machines, so your own options for a late snack appear to be what they have downstairs by the bar. Several public areas outside the main areas were full of carts or other storage, making it feel like you weren't supposed to be there.

We almost left the 1 night stay due to the bed covers and sheets were dirty, the fridge in the unit made it hard to sleep and the fan in the bathroom was broken and making weird noises.

Enjoyed our stay until we found stains on one of the bed sheets. Parking is difficult to locate so call ahead for info. A bit pricey but very near UChicago Hospitals.
