Hotel Santa Maria

The worst experience I’ve ever had! Bugs in the room, very very small room and the bathroom is outside the room. We have paid 200€/one night. Dont’t have anything but anything in the room. Without mosquito nets …..

An overnight stop on a longer journey. The hotel was good value and had an EV charger which was a great boon. Slightly old fashioned in atmosphere but the room was spacious with a balcony and a sea view. A five minute walk to the centre where there are plenty of restaurants. The receptionist was welcoming and charming.

Every service ( safe parking, pet in room, colazione)was an extra charge to an already high rate ,room was not clean and not at all worth the 209euro a night we paid. The shower - look at photo . Aircon worked at least. Place needs a major overhaul room wise .

Staff is great but the hotel needs an update. Rooms are from last century.

Very poor quality. Problems are not taken in consideration by the staff in any way. I ordered a 2 nights stay but had to leave after 2 hours the first day because the hotel is located in front of a beach resort with extremely loud music until midnight. The window are not soundproof and it was just unbearable to stay, even with earplugs. I had to find another hotel. The manager of Santa Maria don't wanted to refund me not even 1 night, with the argument it's not their fault and my booking was not refundable (in total 300 EUR). In Switzerland, where I come from, such a situation would not happen. A hotel takes its responsibility and the client have always the right to cancel a contract in such a unexpected situation. I was really surprised they decline my request because they came to my room and confirm that such a noise it not ok. In addition to that, a look in the shower was enough to decide not to take one - really gruesome with some apparent rusty wire gimp just at the level of the feet. My last camping trip had a better bath than this "so called 3 stars hotel". The furniture is old and really shabby, the people unfriendly and dishonest. Stay away. I post some pictures, unfortunately I didn't made one from the wire in the shower.
