Wannamas Chiangmai Boutique House

Verblijf niet in de familiekamer op de derde verdieping! De airconditioner naast de deur leek aan het hoofdeinde van het bed aan de muur te zijn geïnstalleerd. Hij werd 24 uur per dag omringd door laagfrequent geluid. Het voelde alsof het bed trilde. Ik zou een neurasthenie krijgen na een verblijf van een tijdje drie nachten! Ik meldde bij het hotel dat het niet kon worden opgelost, maar toen ik de recensies op andere websites controleerde, zei iemand het zes maanden geleden, en het is de afgelopen zes maanden nog steeds niet opgelost!

Gelukkig hebben we het maar voor één nacht geboekt. Toen we incheckten, ontdekten we dat het dekbed vuil was. Uiteindelijk ontdekten we dat alles vies was. Het was duidelijk dat het niet veranderd was sinds de vorige gast. We vroegen het de receptie als de vorige gast was vertrokken. De lakens werden daarna niet verschoond. De receptie stemde ermee in en bleef maar zeggen dat ze ze meteen zouden verschonen. De houding was oké, maar de hygiënische omstandigheden waren echt slecht. Ik wilde niet om even te blijven.

Very nostalgic deco. Breakfast was special with a main Thai dish and bread served with homemade jam and yogurt. Front desk was helpful and polite.

It was the best accommodation I stayed in during my trip to Chiang Mai. Everyone was very friendly and although the breakfast was not that much, the beautifully prepared food was slightly different every day and it was the perfect meal for me.

基礎設施老舊

We stayed 4 nights here. The manager, Khun (hopefully correct spelling!), was helpful in every way. She organised transport from the airport, and to see sunrise at Doi Suthep, as well as the sticky waterfalls. Special mention to our fabulous number one driver Pin for patiently waiting at the airport when are flight was delayed! The rooms are a traditional style - don't expect a resort like room - and very comfortable with a nice firm mattress. Breakfast alway included a nice local Thai dish to try e.g. khao soi. Lovely courtyard at the front, and great WiFi connection. Great location within walking distance to many of the Wats in the old city, as well as good places to eat (check out SP chicken right next door, and Khao Soi Arak just behind, or a short tuk tuk to the market for mango sticky rice). For those wanting to get a local SIM card for their mobile, visit the AIS shop not too far, much cheaper than the airport. Highly recommend Wannamas!

Cute little hotel located right beside the biggest temple, you wouldn’t missed it. Has lots of restaurants and convenient store nearby. Hotel was clean and service was amazing. Staff very friendly, they clean the room every day and the decorations of the hotel is very lovely. I had 3 nights there and it was amazing stay. But for you who has problems with climbing the stairs maybe you should ask for room in first floor because they don’t have elevator. I stayed in 3rd floor and stair was pretty steep. Other than that everything is perfect. Breakfast was nice, few selections but delicious food. Especially when they made the padthai it was so delicious. Overall my stay was amazing. I would come back again

Wannamas Boutique House is like heaven on earth! We absolutely loved staying here during our 3 days in Chiang Mai. The moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed in and given fresh coconut water. Our 3rd floor room was spacious, sunny, quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a huge bed, drawers to store our clothes, a giant shower, and a sweet little balcony overlooking a neighbouring monastery. The hotel was extremely close to popular Chiang Mai attractions - steps away from Wat Phra Singh, tons of great restaurants, and the Sunday Walking Market. It was the perfect spot for us as tourists, and we felt safe day & night. What stood out to us the most were the AMAZING staff members - Lak (I hope I spelled her name correctly), the manager, was especially kind and helpful. She would chat with us about our plans, offer suggestions about places to see & eat at, and helped us arrange transportation to the Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls and Chiang Rai with an amazing driver named "Mr. Number One", who was incredibly sweet and funny. She was always present and made sure all her guests felt completely looked after. The food here was also outstanding - every morning there was a beautiful breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, Thai sweets, eggs/omelets, toast and cereal, with a Thai centrepiece - khao soi, pad thai, Thai stir-fry - something different each day. Lak very kindly made sure that a vegetarian version of each breakfast was available for us each morning, which we appreciated so much, and she also made amazing coffee. We ate our breakfasts outside on the gorgeous, peaceful front patio/garden area, overflowing with lush plants and colourful paper lanterns. Overall, we truly hope to come back to Wannamas House again someday! We'll never forget it and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much for an amazing stay! - Julia & Peter (Toronto, Canada)
