Lovely friendly hosts. Very clean room with tea, coffee facilities and seperate bathroom. Good choice for breakfast from yogurts, cereals to a good cooked breakfast. Not much parking space but we managed to get one. Room was very quiet at the back of the house.

My second stay at Glen Garth and another great break. Hoole is literally a short stroll away from the station, buses to the zoo, aquarium and Cheshire Oaks stop on the road outside and a taxi from town costs £6. The hosts are lovely and go to great lengths to ensure their guests are comfortable. The Guest house is very clean, well maintained and has everything you might want. Breakfast is lovely, freshly cooked to order and plentiful. The only thing which might put some people off is the stairs.

Hosts were great made us feel very welcome gave us good suggestionson where to go . The room was large enough with a nice sized toilet and shower. There was also a separate sink in the main bedroom. Good supply of tea and coffee. Room was very clean. Bed was a bit on the hard side for us but pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast was a great choice of cereals yogurt, toast jams and then the cooked English breakfast. Plenty of tea coffe and juice. All in all a great stay.

This was my first visit to Chester, and Glen Garth turned out to be the perfect place to stay! From the friendly welcome, to the large, warm, and very clean and comfortable room, plus the lovely breakfast, everything was spot on. It's great for visiting the bars and restaurants in Hoole, and also within very easy reach of the city centre (there's a bus stop right outside, but I walked as it wasn't far at all). I'm hoping to visit Chester more in the future, and would very happily return to Glen Garth.

Fabulous guest house within walking distance of Chester.The owners are lovely and very helpful.The rooms are comfortable and cosy as are the beds and pillows.Loved the pillows so much were going to buy some!!!!!Breakfast great,enough choice.Thanks Hayley and John for being great hosts.If we ever want to stay in Chester again we will definitely book with you guys.We will definitely recommend you to our family and friends.

The room was larger than I expected and very comfortable. The few things I wanted to increase my personal comfort were attended to immediately. The building was orderly and quiet. The owners - Hayley, John and Vegas - were very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was great and there was plenty. The location is wonderful, about a ten minute stroll from the station, all the shops and food places one could want are just around the corner and the buses to/from the zoo, the aquarium and Cheshire Oaks stop right outside. It's difficult to find anything negative to say about this facility. Anyone who can't manage stairs won't manage here because there are stairs, that's about it.

This was our second stay at Glengarth and once again have come away feeling relaxed and happy. We booked the kingsize ensuite this time and it was absolutely perfect…extremely clean and comfortable. Hayley and John are wonderful hosts, very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious. Glengarth is just a short walk away from Chester city centre and has parking which is a bonus. We will definitely be returning again soon! Angela & Mark

The hosts were very accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our breakfast setting was nice. The food was a traditional English breakfast. The location was close to the centre of Chester with good pubs very close.
