The views from the rooms were gorgeous, the staff was friendly, and the Sun and Sea restaurant was fun with great food (Ocean180's food was not worth the price)! The full kitchen was great, the water pressure was good, the electricity never failed. And the private beach is small but adequate; we saw quite a few fish snorkling there (even a baby swordfish!).
But the cons:
* The property is located in a lower-income area (we drove around nearly the whole island). Mostly-secure, gated community, but one time I was approached by (very clearly) a non-resident who likely came from the pedestrian access, next to Sun and Sea, who asked me if I wanted to buy some ****.
* The property itself is very, very steep with LOTS of stairs and hills.
* Whatever room number they emailed you that you would get is NOT guaranteed.
* The lobby is only open until 6pm, so be careful if your plane arrives later and you get there after hours to check in.
* The wifi was adequate but spotty, so don't rely too much on it.
* The unit we stayed in, D32, had louver-style windows that wouldn't close all the way, so the AC wouldn't maintain in the bedrooms. Also, one of the dining room chairs were broken, and there were bugs in the recliner cushions that the maintenance staff and exterminator couldn't detect. (Ask! They did
compensate us.)
* If you have a maintenance issue, it could take up to a week for full resolution.
* The gym itself, especially the floor, was very dirty, and most equipment was broken.
