Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston South, WV

Hotel facilities are old, such as parking, floors, stairs, elevator…, but rooms are clean. Air conditioning system is good. Price is low, so it’s good for the value.

I have stayed at several Country Inns and have found them clean and well maintained. The ground floor of this one looked great, however once you made it to the second floor, it smells very damp. The room I was given, the bureau front was busted and pieced together, the ceiling had water spots throughout, and the bathroom looked like the previous stay had a toothpaste war as there was blue toothpaste smeared around the walls which had not been cleaned up. The staff were friendly both during check-in and check out. This hotel just needs some serious cleaning and updating.

Property was very nice, especially for the price. The room was very clean and well keep. Beds were comfortable and the furnishings were very nice.Breakfast was wonderful nice choices, and good food, Ty the breakfast host was great. Met Nicole, the general manager. She seemed very interested in how my stay was going and that everything was appropriate and proper. Amber and Bryant at the front desk were wonderful. I like the lobby coffee and evening cookies. Hotel is pet friendly with several guests having their pups with them.Indoor pool was very nice and stayed open late. Parkingwas fine without a problem finding an open space. Only complaint was their Internet kept going outa lot. Was able to get a good 5G signal and you cell data insead.

The breakfast was good! It wasn’t a horrible stay but I’ve seen better hotels. The carpet was so dirty in my room that my feet were almost black. The tv turned on but no channels were available to watch. The dresser the tv was on was so broken down we couldn’t use it for clothes or storage of any kind. There were only 3 hangers in the closet to use. The room had a slightly musty smell and there were water stains on the ceiling. We found out today that 5 months ago there were 7 people on cleaning staff. Now there are only 2. They are trying their best to keep up, but that’s a difficult job for a three story hotel. The location was convenient but the stay wasn’t worth the lower price.

We just needed a bed and a shower for the night but we got so much more!! The lady at the front desk was beyond nice! Her hospitality was better than I’ve ever had at a hotel. Especially at one at this cost. The breakfast was also very good. It didn’t seem like the usual chain hotel breakfast. We got the most quiet room I’ve ever had in a hotel. I didn’t hear any slamming doors, kids or dogs. We were able to get a full 8 hours of sleep. Even the blackout curtains were amazing! Highly recommend.

The staff was very welcoming, and the cookies and fresh coffee were great. I loved that the pool was open until midnight.

The room was not as clean as I would have liked, the bathtub freaked me out. The staff was so friendly!

Great hotel with perfect accommodations. Visiting from Miami, Fl and being used to warm/hot weather, the indoor pool was a big plus for the kids. I don't think we could enjoy an outside pool in June in West Virginia. Additionally, the hotel was clean and the full breakfast being available in the morning made it even better. Checkout at 12pm is standard which also made for a pleasant trip! I'd recommend for families for sure!

This hotel is okay. It's older and musty, but it is very clean with a variety of options for breakfast. It's a good value for its price point. The evening front desk clerk wasn't friendly or present, but other than that, we had good interactions with staff.
