Great place to stay with its locality close to the subway station. We found the room to be equivalent to 5 star rating such as Sofitel & Pullman. The hotel provides excellent breakfast varieties that even Pullman hotel cannot match. The house keeping Ms. Hu exceeded our expectations by wiping and disinfecting our luggages, which was much appreciated after 2 weeks of travel in China. They also provide free self service laundry services, if required on level 5. The only downside we found is it is not a smoke-free hotel. You can smell the smoke odour as soon as you walk into the lobby. This applies to the room too. It really depends on your luck if smoker is on the same floor as at times I can smell smoke via the ventilation. For the hotel to achieve International standard, it needs to be a smoke-free hotel, for the sake of other hotel guests and their employee's health.

This hotel really redefines what high quality service at luxury hotels should be - personable, friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff are eager to be helpful, are extremely communicative and responsive via WeChat, and cater to your every needs. My impression before I arrived was already a positive one because they helped me arrange two packages to be sent in advance to the hotel. They even let me use their contact details as the contact number to make the order as I did not have a local phone number. Upon arrival, the packages were waiting for us and housekeeping took away the leftover packaging. They also offer a free laundry service and I cannot emphasise how soft and nice smelling our clothes were when we received our freshly laundered clothes. The bathroom amenities are the luxury brand Le Labo and the water provided is the mineral water brand Evian. Of course they also have Dyson hair dryers. The daily breakfasts are truly decadent with abalone on our first morning and Angus sirloin on our second morning. We can order seconds of any of the dishes we liked. Fruit juices are freshly made. The barista even made takeaway drinks for us to enjoy on our outings. Afternoon tea and evening soups are also provided and guests can choose what time they would like it to be served and where (for example, hotel room or hotel lounge). They even prepared cold milk for us to soothe us after we returned from dinner eating some local spicy Changsha chicken. Truly outstanding service! One of the things that sets this hotel apart from any other we have stayed at are the afternoon activities they offer to their guests. On our second day we enjoyed a Cloisonné enamel class in the hotel and we will certainly be displaying the fruits of our hard work in our home when we return home. All the materials were provided to us and one of the lovely staff provided instructions and was extremely patient with us despite the language barrier. Such unique experiences on offer each day really make the stay so enjoyable for guests. I can understand why this hotel was won so many accolades. The staff really have earnt this award. It is thanks to their dedication that this hotel has earnt such a prestigious reputation. It is genuinely worth every penny! I am not sure when we will return to Changsha but it is exciting to know that the hotel does have another branch in Chengdu which we will be keen to visit, perhaps next year. All I can say is that I will always have fond memories of this hotel and particularly its staff and this hotel has certainly set the bar high for outstanding service.

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in het Changsha Xiangjiang Hotel 1968. Het hotelteam heeft er alles aan gedaan om ervoor te zorgen dat wij, als stel en als bezoekers van Changsha (een Chinese vrouw en een Duitse man), een aangenaam verblijf hadden. We zullen de vele attenties koesteren, zoals de kleine welkomstgeschenken en andere cadeautjes gedurende ons verblijf, de afternoon tea met cake, de gratis fotoshoot van een half uur in traditionele Chinese kleding, en nog veel meer. Het leek alsof er niets was wat het hotel niet voor ons kon regelen. De gratis wasservice was een welkome verademing gezien het warme en vochtige weer in Changsha tijdens ons bezoek, en we hebben er veelvuldig gebruik van gemaakt. Als Trip.com Diamond-leden kregen we een gratis upgrade naar een betere kamer, wat we zeer op prijs stelden. We voelden ons de hele tijd welkom in het hotel en zouden het zeker weer kiezen boven elk internationaal hotel met een zogenaamd prestigieuze reputatie. ... De locatie van het hotel is over het algemeen goed, niet ver van populaire attracties zoals Wuyi Square, het IFS Mall en de belangrijkste winkelstraat, maar het ligt wel een beetje verscholen in een afgesloten woonwijk. Elk half uur tot elk uur waren er luide aankondigingen (schoolaankondigingen?) vlak voor ons raam, meerdere keren per dag, wat lichte slapers wakker kon maken. Overdag raakten we er vrij snel aan gewend. Verder kan de omgeving 's nachts en in het donker een beetje vreemd aanvoelen, omdat het hotel omringd is door veel smalle steegjes. Er is ons echter niets overkomen en Changsha heeft over het algemeen een zeer bruisend nachtleven. Tot slot wil ik voor niet-Chinese gasten nog toevoegen dat er niet veel Engelssprekend hotelpersoneel is. Communicatie is echter mogelijk met gangbare vertaalapps. Het hotel biedt gasten ook de mogelijkheid om bij het inchecken een WeChat-account aan te maken om met het hotel te communiceren. Alles wordt daar automatisch vertaald en er is altijd iemand beschikbaar.

Wat een fantastische ervaring in dit hotel! De receptie was super attent en de gratis bagageservice was geweldig – na het uitchecken werd mijn bagage direct naar het vliegveld gebracht, waardoor ik zorgeloos en lichtvoetig door Changsha kon struinen! De faciliteiten waren ook top; het matras op de kamer was heerlijk zacht, er was voldoende warm water in de badkamer, de liften waren schoon en snel, en zelfs de muziek in de gangen klonk aangenaam. De volgende keer dat ik met mijn familie kom, boek ik hier waarschijnlijk weer!

車位：酒店門口車位不多，可以停馬路對面。 點評：我原本預訂的房間在預訂前打過電話，也備註要求，但入住還是出現了問題，中間換了2次房間，但是值得一提的是服務很好，晚上我們到達的晚，酒店前台劉女士一直微笑耐心的在解決問題。早餐種類不多，我9：30下樓吃早餐，有些餐品已經涼了，唯一的葡萄汁也見底了，如果睡眠輕的人一定提前和酒店打招呼，有些房型會有空調噪音，第一次安排的房間淋浴室往外漏水，衞生巾反味，樓上一直咚咚咚的聲音，硬件設施存在問題，噪音音頻無法上傳。 位置：酒店門口有超市，離景點不遠，出酒店不遠就有地鐵2/4號線，比較方便，馬路對面有一家不錯的餐廳。 總體：服務很好，

If you’re looking for an English review, here it is! Location: We stayed for 6 nights in the Jade Room, and the location couldn’t be better. The hotel is only a short 3-minute walk from Huangxing Pedestrian Street, tucked inside a small alley off the main road. While taxis can’t drop you right at the entrance, the walk is easy and luggage-friendly. The surroundings are quiet at night but still feel very safe. There’s also a nearby corner shop that holds Taobao parcels, which is super convenient, and the reception staff will guide you if needed. Service: The service was genuinely outstanding and truly made the stay feel like a home away from home. Communication was clear, warm, and responsive from the beginning. We confirmed our booking via WeChat and received prompt replies along with helpful directions and a clear map. We arrived past midnight, but the staff kept in touch and reassured us that someone would meet us on arrival. A friendly young gentleman greeted us with a big smile, brought us to our room, and followed up with the passcodes for Wi-Fi and door access (the lobby area locks after 10pm). Most evenings, they sent a message about homemade desserts available on a first-come-first-serve basis—such a thoughtful touch. They were also extremely helpful when I needed to order food through *******, letting me use the front desk number since I didn’t have a local phone. I was also able to receive Taobao parcels at the hotel, and the staff neatly gathered them for easy pick-up. Truly attentive and heartfelt service throughout. Cleanliness & Room: The room had basic amenities and toiletries, which were sufficient for a comfortable stay. However, we couldn’t find a safe or mini fridge— not a deal breaker, but something to note if you’re expecting those features. The cleaning team was polite and checked in daily to see if we needed housekeeping. Fresh towels and bottled water were consistently provided, which we appreciated. Still, the overall cleaning could have been more thorough. We noticed crumbs and hair on the floor, suggesting that sweeping or vacuuming wasn’t done completely, and there were some shoe marks left in the bathroom. Not major issues, but worth mentioning. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and despite the minor cleanliness concerns, we would happily rebook this accommodation on our next trip to Changsha. _______ 地点（Location）： 我们在翡翠房（Jade Room）住了 6 晚，地点真的非常棒。酒店距离黄兴步行街只有大约 3 分钟的步行路程，藏在主街旁的一条小巷里。虽然出租车不能直接把你送到酒店门口，但小巷平坦好走，拖着行李也完全没有问题。周边环境晚上很安静，但仍然非常安全。附近还有一家包裹代收的小店，可以领取淘宝包裹，非常便利，前台也会指导你如何前往。 服务（Service）： 酒店的服务真的非常贴心，让人有一种“家外之家”的感觉。沟通顺畅、友善且回应快速。我们通过微信确认了预订，酒店很快给了回复，并附上了详细的路线说明和清晰的地图。 我们是在深夜抵达的，但他们一路保持联络，告诉我们随时可以联系工作人员。到达后，一位年轻的小哥满脸笑容地迎接我们，带我们到房间，并马上发送了 Wi-Fi 和门禁的密码（酒店前台与客房通道晚上 10 点后会上锁）。 大多数晚上，他们都会发消息告诉我们当天有自制甜点，数量有限、先到先得——非常温馨的小惊喜。当我需要用**点餐时，他们也非常乐于协助，因为我没有中国手机号，他们让我直接填写前台号码作为联系号码。另外，我也收了不少淘宝包裹，前台都会帮忙整理好，让取件变得更方便。整体服务相当贴心、周到。 房间与清洁（Room & Cleanliness）： 房间提供基本的设施与盥洗用品，住起来还是舒适的。不过，我们没有找到保险箱或小冰箱——不是硬性需求，但如果你特别需要这类设备，建议提前确认。 清洁人员每天都会礼貌询问我们是否需要打扫房间，毛巾和瓶装水也都有每天补充，这点非常不错。然而，整体清洁度可以再更细致一些。我们发现地板上有一些面包屑和头发，似乎没有彻底打扫；浴室地面上也有鞋印。虽然不是严重的问题，但仍值得一提。 整体评价： 整体入住体验非常愉快，即便有些许清洁的小问题，我们仍然非常愿意在下次来长沙时再次入住这里。

De locatie is goed, vlakbij de metro-ingang en de hygiëne is prima. Het belangrijkste is dat de sfeer erg goed is en dat de huishoudster ook erg zorgzaam en enthousiast is. Ik boekte een kamer met een bad, die vrij ruim is en eenvoudig is ingericht. Door een probleem met het hotelsysteem moest ik 's ochtends mijn kamerkaart naar de receptie halen om de kaart te scannen en het avondeten klaar te maken. De receptie zei dat ik een gratis maaltijd kon krijgen als ik een positieve recensie schreef. Ik voelde me meteen ongemakkelijk en ging terug naar mijn kamer. Terug in de kamer opende ik de bestelling en zag dat mijn reservering inclusief ontbijt voor twee was, wat me nog meer deed verstommen. Ik was te lui om te protesteren en vroeg uiteindelijk om een kom noedels, die de huishoudster me bracht. Daarna bleef ik maar vragen of ik een positieve recensie mocht schrijven. Goede recensies zijn belangrijk, maar ik vind het een beetje overdreven om ze steeds maar weer te vragen. Ik had er vrijwillig een kunnen schrijven, maar het was echt teleurstellend dat ik ertoe werd aangezet. Over het algemeen was het verblijf prima, maar het systeem moet verbeterd worden.

Het inchecken verliep snel en we kregen een mooie kamer toegewezen. De kamers van mijn ouders waren op dezelfde verdieping en er werd zelfs een gratis ontbijt aangeboden. De kamers waren ruim, comfortabel en in Chinese stijl, met een prachtig uitzicht op de Xiangjiang-rivier. Er was ook gratis parkeergelegenheid op niveau B2. Tegenover het hotel ligt Orange Isle en erachter bevinden zich populaire winkelgebieden en oude straten, waardoor de locatie erg handig is voor uitstapjes.

Het hotel heeft een fantastische locatie, uitstekende service en het personeel is zeer attent en gastvrij. Een echte aanrader! De omgeving is fantastisch, een super fijne verblijfservaring! De faciliteiten zijn van topklasse en het is er ongelooflijk schoon. De service is uitstekend, echt fantastisch! Bagageservice (treinstation Changsha Zuid/luchthaven Huanghua): Deze ervaring was echt geweldig! Bar: Gratis drankjes, een echte aanrader! Probeer het van tevoren!

Airport pick up is provided despite arriving early in the morning at about 1am. The location is very good with hawker food and cafes just next to the hotel. Subway station is just a short walk away, so it is very convenient. The staff are very friendly and willing to assist when required.
