Dit hotel heeft duidelijk zijn beste tijd gehad en is al jaren niet meer onderhouden. De bedden waren versleten en zeer onconfortabel. De centrale airco maakte ontzettend veel lawaai, en ook het lawaai van de gangen en deuren ging heel de nacht door. Het ontbijt was echt ondermaats en bijna niets was vers, we hebben het dan ook niet zlke dag genomen ook al was het inbegrepen. De koffiemachine en broodrooster waren zelfs zeer vuil. Wij namen onze koffie in de bar aan de overkant van de straat waar die wel lekker was. Het zwembad was best OK en ook de ligzetels (met handdoekservice). Handig was ook de buitenbar, hoewel die zeer duur was. In de buurt van het hotel zijn er een aantal goede restaurants te vinden, voor de rest is er in de buurt niets te zien. Het personeel vonden we vriendelijk maar zeer afstandelijk.

Kamers gelijken in niets op de foto's zelfs niet de suites en superieure kamers. Kamers waren ook vies en oud alsook werden onze handdoeken niet ververst. Badkamer: toilet en douche werkten slecht. Faciliteiten in en rond hotel die men beloofd kloppen ook niet. Heel vuile wijk rondom ook. Zeer onbeschoft personeel.

The Hotel-staff was excellent and very helpful. We will give a special appreciation to Giuseppe for extra good service. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It has a few good places to eat and drink near by, a shopping mall close by. It’s close to the sea and the lava-‘beaches’ and walking distance to the town center (30-50 minutes), but busses are useful for faster transport (we assume:-)) Ok Italian breakfast. On the downside it’s close to a busy road, but even with our room facing towards it, we didn’t have any big issues. The A/C makes a bit of noise, but it was possible to turn off.
We didn’t have a car but the hotel has parking available inside a fenced area.
The room was spacious and with bathtub, fridge and a small safe.
We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel required a Deep clean as passage carpets are stained, floor 2 at least where we stayed. This hotel appears to be catered more as a business hotel and not holiday makers. Ever morning breakfast food is limited as business meetings eat most of the continental food. A taxi ride to Catania is €20 buses are horrendous and never on time if at all. No beach in front of hotel only a man made scaffolding lido that was washed away in the storms leaving lava rocks. In our opinion we would not not the best place for a relaxing break plus the pool closes Oct 1 even though temperatures still 28.

location nice in front of the sea, but we didn't go to the beach as there is no access... you have to walk 15 min. breakfast acceptable, buffet not super full. pool closed at 6.00 pm ((in August)). about the room: old fashion, but ok. the first night we didn't sleep at all... AC too loud very loud, like you have a truck in the room all night. we asked to change the room, as we thought there was a problem in there. receptionist found another one, but same result. counted no. of plugs... we couldn't charge our phones at once. check out at 11 am as usual, but al 9.00 someone knocked to check the mini bar.
