Travelodge Cardiff Central Queen Street

Located in the middle of the city centre close to castle and local attractions. Unfortunately room backed into a night club which played music till 4am. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. Other then that lovely place.

Good located in old town Center People not really friend, TV remote were broken. Anyway price is good and just stay a nite so that fine

A great place to stay, stayed here for a two night break in November, went for the cardiff winter wonderland, the travelodge is smack bang in the centre of everything you need, a 12 minute walk from the train station, eateries, pubs, coffee shops, takeaways, restaurants literally everything, from greggs, KFC, McDonald's, Wetherspoons etc etc, it is opposite the live lounge bar, where they play live music all day, but a little gem of a place we found to eat, was a place called pillars, right next door to the travelodge itself. Travelodge rooms were clean and tidy, staff were also very friendly and polite, highly recommend a visit, definitely will be going back next year ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel was clean, comfy, Staff were absolutely Good hotelbrilliant, very helpful and the breakfast was good, slightly unorganised but no complaint but if you're thinking of having an evening meal please DON'T! As a family we have travelled alot but have never had such a bad meal ever! Kids fishfingers looked old, grey and rock hard, corn cobs had not been heated atall, certain items were missing, they came later when requested, only desserts on the menu were sundaes or pancakes, should be ok, NO! the icecream had large ice crystals and bananas were black!! Eating out is highly recommended..

A good location in Central Cardiff with all the usual TL accoutrements. Double glazed windows essential for busy location. Pleasant friendly staff. Once again the absence of free wifi at all Travelodges is the reason this organisation isn't realised it's full potential, and the primary reason Lenny Henry never stays.

This is in a great location but surrounded by pubs & bars so be prepared for noise. in view of that, I booked a standard plus room on the top floor, ended up at the back of the hotel so was much quieter in comparison to a room on a lower floor near the front. Room clean, tidy, everything you needed but it was quite hot as summer decided to show up, no air-con in the room but reception found me a (quite loud) fan but did the trick. Reception staff all really friendly & approachable. Sadly what you can't prepare for are inconsiderate guests. Presumably by booking a standard plus 3rd floor room they were also looking for a little quiet, but various guests had no problems in slamming doors at 11.40pm Saturday & at 3.10am & 5.20am on Sunday as they were coming in. Sunday night / Monday morning was OK though. While I'd would book again for weekdays, I'd probably so elsewhere on a weekend.

The location, a five minute walk from the castle and the main shopping area is excellent.Our room was large and comfortable. There was good tea and coffee facilities included. However the was no free WiFi, no hair drier, and no tissues. The worst was when we left at 12.00 checkout time. With a three hour wait for our train, two large suitcases and bitterly cold weather we were disappointed to learn that, unlike the majority of hotels, there was no facility to store our luggage for a couple of hours. So were oblige to walk through the city to find a restaurant ready to accommodate our luggage!

Best night’s sleep ever! No irritating lights left on in the corridor that shine under the door - all lights are sensory. Very quiet. Comfy bed - quilt not too heavy, room not too hot and all the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Can’t comment on breakfast as we had to leave very early but will definitely use again when we’re in Cardiff.

Great location for any event in the city. Friendly staff clean quiet rooms. Dont be worried that the hotel is in a busy street with bars near by the windows remove most of the noise. Will be using this location as much as possible when in the city. The 2pm check out is great for lste nights out.
