Il Borgo BagaBaga - Exclusive Country Retreat

This is the ONLY place to stay for the perfect room, staff, and view of Castelsardo. We would give the hotel 4- star in a heartbeat if the breakfasts had been of higher quality and reflective of everything else about this little resort overlooking the hilltop town and the Sardinian sea. Very spacious accommodations with top quality rooms and baths, sparkling swimming pool, extraordinary restaurant on the upper level, and ease of travel into town. Mauro and Bruno run one of the best restaurants in Sardinia at this hotel, so it displeases us to mention that the breakfasts included in our room rate were very disappointing - Could it be that the restaurant and the hotel have different owners? We are sure that when Mauro and Bruno read this review they will inspect the breakfast buffet to make sure the food is fresh and appealing. Staff overwhelmingly helpful and pleasant. Look no further! We were even served our cocktails on the cliffs prior to dinner so that the sunset would forever be in our lovely memories of this place.

It is a wonderful location, we had a great view to Castelsardo from the balcony of our room, the room was perfect, the service great, we can really recommend this place, it is worth going/staying there :)

We´ve been for the first time at the Hotel Baga Baga and it will not be the last one. Mauro, Bruno and Fabio are excellent hosts and we´ve felt at home from the first moment on. They are very attentive and very obliging. The location and its view is breathtaking, the room was very clean and the surrounding garden is spectacular. Normally we go out for dinner to explore different restaurants. But after having had dinner on the first evening, we stayed the following evenings. The food is so delicious and the wine list in the Baga Baga Restaurant is full of variety. We highly recommend to experience the great hospitality at the Baga Baga Hotel and we look forward to staying again in fall this year. Juditha and Franz (Francesco) from Munich

Baga Baga is a wonderful place to stay. The sunsets over Castlesardo are breathtaking, and baga baga is at the right angle on the hillside to have a perfect view. The hotel is very small, and feels personal and friendly. The staff is warm and helpful. Our room was very clean when we arrived, and the daily housekeeping was a surprise and delight. Very comfortable bed with two types of pillows--a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. The restaurant is Michelin rated, and stunning in a**osphere and cuisine. I couldn't be more pleased with our decision to stay here. The only change I would make, is having a second hotel in a different part of the island because the roads are small and windey and slow, so we did less touring than we had anticipated.

We first visited the Baga Baga in 2020 and liked it so much that we decided to return. The hotel was still really good and we enjoyed our short stay (4 nights). The views from the upstairs rooms are spectacular (out to sea and across to the old town of Castelsardo) as is the view from the pool. It is worth taking into account when booking that the downstairs rooms have no view, and are very dark as the gardens behind them are small with towering bushes and trees close to the windows. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well fitted out. When we were there in 2020 the hotel had gone from buffet breakfast to a 'pre-order' arrangement which is still in use now. The only problem with this is that everything arrives in one go, so if you order juice, coffee, pasties, toast and cereal it all turns up at the table to the same time, meaning that by the time you have drunk the juice the coffee is nearly cold etc.. It would be better if things could be delivered in a couple of goes rather than all at once. The position of the hotel is great for the views that it gives you but the downside is that you can't walk into town as the busy road from the hotel (the hotel is well back and above the road) has no pavements and winds along the side of the cliff. This means driving into town for a meal in the evening which some people may not like, for us this was not an issue. Having mentioned these negatives, I should stress that this is a lovely hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. The pool area is lovely and was never busy even though the hotel was quite full when we were there. the breakfast was plentiful and the room was comfortable - definitely worth a visit.

Vue imprenable, resto extra,service parfait,personnel à l écoute et gracieux. A recommander sans hésiter. Dernier de jour de vacances pour finir en beauté dans cette belle Sardaigne .a une prochaine fois. Les patrons sont très accueillants et classe.tout le reste du personnel aussi charmant. De retour dans votre région nous apporterons une bouteille comme promis.

C’est un très bel hôtel, avec une très belle vue, de la literie confortable, un personnel agréable. Mais j’ai rencontré quelques soucis qui me laissent penser qu’ils essaient de profiter des touristes. Premier problème : lors de la note du dîner au restaurant, il y avait un plat rajouté sur la note. Second problème : lors du règlement du séjour à la fin, ils on rajouté une note de restaurant d’un montant beaucoup plus élevé que ma propre note de restaurant et en plus que j’avais déjà réglé. A part ça, c’était très sympa. Mais ça laisse le séjour amer en partant.

Hôtel très bien situé, sur les hauteurs en face du Castel, retiré et au calme. Une vue époustouflante sur la mer et le château. Au première loge pour admirer le coucher du soleil. Notre chambre était correcte et propre avec un grand lit confortable. Cependant, l'écoulement de l'eau dans le bac à douche était difficile. Un balcon agréable qui donne une vue directe sur la mer et le village de Castelsardo. La piscine débordante est appréciable car l'hôtel ne compte pas beaucoup de chambres. Nous étions en petit déjeuner, mais l'hôtel possède un restaurant qui est même ouvert aux personnes extérieures. C'est un restaurant chic avec une carte de qualité mais aussi de bonnes pizzas. Nous y avons mangé deux fois et avons été satisfaits. Budget entre 75 et 100 euros pour 3 (boissons incluses, sans dessert). Un petit déjeuner correct mais répétitif en produits. Un petit bémol: mon épouse était malade un matin, je lui ai donc pris des petites choses (fruits et croissants) afin de les lui apporter. Un membre du personnel m'a fait une réflexion que je n'ai pas apprécié ! Mis à part cette personne, le personnel est souriant, poli et disponible. Par contre lors du paiement, 20 euros en plus sont apparus sans explication. De plus, le soda du mini bar est passé de 2,5 € à 3€. Revoir les prix affichés dans les chambres.
