Welcome to Bizarro World! The general description of the place on this page was accurate when Plaza Caserta opened. We stayed here overnight on our way to Sorrento in June '24. I have NO idea what happened to this city, and the Google is not giving up her secrets. Everything online is as though the place is preserved as it must have appeared 20 or so years ago. All around, as we drove in, there was economic ruin and utter urban decay. Many condemned and derelict buildings. It felt as though we were on a movie set, and I wasn't sure if it was a comedy or a horror flick. The staff were good enough, but everyone acted as though they didn't notice the opulent hotel they work in was crumbling around them. The pictures posted here seem to be computer renderings before it even opened. That glorious pool? Empty, crumbling, and full of pigeons. That luscious landscaping? Full of weeds and bone dry. This place was amazing when it opened, but we were actually a little scared, at first. HOWEVER, all that said, the room was clean (despite some questionable stains on the couch), HUGE and COOL! Our spacious room had 2 bathrooms! Breakfast was outstanding, and a short walk away (touring through the dilapidated surroundings), we found a very memorable, fresh meal. But, again, everyone was acting as though they were awaiting a bustling crowd, and we were the only ones there. I was in a quandary over how many stars to offer--we had an amazing night's sleep after a very taxing travel day to Rome from US, with a train strike forcing us to hire a taxi to take us there for over 300 pounds. My son was very disappointed in the state of the pool, and, truly, all we wanted to do was go chill out there. Nothing I search reveals why there were so many skeletal remains of what was clearly a bustling city. As I write this, I don't actually expect it will be published because I assume censorship is why there is nothing online about the decay or Caserta.

Terrible Hotel, we were refused a cancellation, we could not stay due to the state of the Pool and Hotel facilities, dark, musty, cigarette stench and mouldy windows. Pool was a disgrace, water was green, and weeds were knee high, fake photo and actual photo are attached.

Abbiamo soggiornato il terzo weekend di ottobre. Personale gentile e disponibile che già in fase di check-in ci ha illustrato la struttura e suoi servizi. La camera era spaziosa, pulita e dotata di tutti i comfort (armadio capiente, frigobar assortito, tv etcc). Abbiamo, inoltre, cenato presso il ristorante, la cui cucina si è rivelata vasta, di qualità e abbondante; così la colazione, assortita e con prodotti freschi e sempre diversi. Comodissimo il parcheggio interrato, raggiunto da un'ascensore che conduce direttamente alla hall dell'hotel. Sicuramente soggiorneremo sempre in questo hotel tutte le volte che ci recheremo a Caserta o in provincia.

Ho dormito per la prima volta in questo hotel ma non sono rimasto soddisfattissimo della struttura perché un po’ vecchiotta e con il cattivo odore di vecchio della moquette presente nelle camere . Stanza comoda ma ripeto , essendo la struttura datata purtroppo ha questo problema di odori di vecchio . Colazione abbastanza fornita . Un appunto che vorrei fare e’ anche sul saldo della camera che pretendono appena arrivi nonostante la camera era comunque garantita da una carta di credito . Siccome io dormo in hotel circa 3 notti a settimana , una cosa del genere in tutta la mia vita mi è capitata solo due o tre volte quindi direi che non è la regola quella di pretendere il saldo all’arrivo .

Hotel molto grande e dispersivo , adatto per congressi sicuramente. A 4 km dalla reggia di Caserta. Camera ordinata e pulita. Mi ha fatto molto sorridere, il letto Gigantesco, tre piazze... Letto adatto per sei persone. Ho dormito divinamente.
