Used this hotel while heading down to the country. Very easy to find, team are exceptionally friendly, the pub next door serves food never used it though. Room was spotless, and smelt really clean. Hotel is silent at night so got a great nights sleep

Recently stayed at this premier Inn as a stop off. The staff were friendly especially Tracey on reception who helped us and greeted us with a lovely smile. Told us places to visit. Close to the town and the pub next door. Although the corridors a little grubby couldn't fault the hotel. Good location

If it wasn’t the staff that are keeping this place together it would be a right dive. Whitbread plc get your wallet out and refurbish this hotel. The rooms and corridors are depressing and well trodden. I just gave me the ‘ick’ at every point. Showered with flip flops on and slept in trackies and t shirt. The adjoining pub associated is a busy place. Premier inn breakfast isn’t the usual standard. These Carlisle premier inns are always packed. Time for the owners to invest.

Good hotel except:- Out of date instructions for heating. Bedside light did not work - corrected quickly.once reported Toilet roll holder in bathroom should have been more readily accessible. You needed to twist round to reach it.

Great room great staff just really needs an update and a good coat of paint it’s looking really tired now ,but at the price you pay it’s cheap and cheerful . Room was ok staff were great breakfast is cooked and bought to you so that’s a nice touch .

Arrived and room was clean but smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Tracey kicked it out the park changing our room and then finding our light. She saved what could have been an awful night. The hotel is great for breaking up a long journey north, rooms are clean but everything is feeling a bit tired now.

For the price, I don’t think you can fault this PI. Warm welcome on arrival, room was spacious and clean with all the facilities working as they should. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout and the breakfast was good quality and served very promptly. Stopped on my way to Edinburgh and got a great nights sleep. Pub next door priced reasonably too. Per other reviews, decor is a bit tired but this didn’t detract from the stay and had no bearing on my visit.

We have stayed here a few times before, just as a stopover so know what we are getting, but the pub attached made a difference, but not anymore, we were told on arrival it was busy it normally is but have never been told as guest that we would have to wait over 2 hours for a table for 2. Thankfully the coach and horses up the road has re opened with amazing food and we were able to eat there, so actually did us a favor, as we will revert back to the much nicer other inn.

Desperate need of refurbishment. From the moment you step inside you can see how run down this premier Inn is. Our room was cold, grubby carpets, scuffed walls and very uninviting. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone until it is cleaned up. Breakfast was not available at the adjacent pub as there were not enough people requiring breakfast. On a positive note the receptionist was very welcoming. Anyone reading this review should definitely find alternative accommodation.
